Your Top 5 Movies and Why!

If you can't think of 5, 3 is acceptable. The initial reason for this thread is to watch movies you never seen before based on the descriptions users post. Doesn't have to be in order and please try to avoid spoilers.

1. The Prestige - The movie was very thought out, kept you watching until the end to find one of the best twist endings I've ever seen or witnessed. If you like magic, you will surely like this. Definitely worth the watch.

2. Shawshank redemption - This movie is very interesting to watch. You never understood what was going to happen until it does. Heart-warming and sad at the same time. Had a Congenial feel to it as well. Great life lesson too.

3. The Curious Case of Benjamin Button - The movie kept you involved the whole time. I watched it in movies and watched it again 3 times after. It's bizarreness makes the movie very interesting. Sad as well.

4. Inception - Probably one of very view movies that had me confused until the middle to understand the reasoning for behaviors and doings of the characters. This movie tests your intelligence which is always a good thing. Definitely worth a watch.

5. Fight Club - This movie will fuck you over in the end. An amazing twist to a great movie. Who doesn't like fighting anyways? If you haven't seen it, which I'm sure you have.. Watch it again anyways

 

1. Goodfellas - based on a true story, amazing team of actors and the story was put together very well.

2. Casino - same as above

3. Inception - very interesting concept, made me think about reality anyway. One of my favourite actors. Story was put together very well.

4. Scarface - Really good story with an exciting concept. One of my fave actors.

5. Matrix reloaded - great action and an exciting movie to watch. Interesting concepts too.

There may be other movies I can think of which may replace one of the top 5.

1. Finding Nemo- Just an awesome movie, I enjoy movies that still retain some sort of innocence from the past.
2. Avatar- the beauty of this film is not only in the story but the graphics are just amazing, you have to watch this in the highest quality you can find and on a big high res TV to really enjoy this movie to the fullest.
3. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind- I can't really describe this movie, I have never seen anything like it. Its one of those movies where everything comes together in the end, its great to watch with a girlfriend type of movie.

1. Limitless - I like the idea of a drug that removes the burden of studying (among other things).
2. Twenty one - Not sure why, just enjoy watching it.
3. Mapoleon Dynamite - The sense of humour appeals to me.

1. Any Stanley Kubrick Film - Here are the top 3: Dr. Strangelove, A Clockwork Orange, 2001. He is a master of mood and cinematography, as well as having a genuinely good story.
2. El Topo - It is generally just a really trippy and enjoyable movie by one of the masters of Mexican Cinema.
3. A Knights Tale - Because it is just a fun movie.

 

Boring. The Hobbit was entertaining, but was a CGI fest.

 

Moved to Movies/Television

 

Makes sense. Thank you. Keep it up guys, these are some good movies. Watched pulp fiction and blade runner. You don't have to put a description, but it would help.

 

1. Braveheart- loved this film since I was young, countless amount of times watched, just a great movie with great history behind it.

2. Gone in sixty seconds- Good car movie,good bit of action and my favorite car is in the movie which I'm never going to have.

3. Gladiator- Love anything with history behind it, full of action and a good movie plus a sad ending.

4. Scarface- Can't help but love this movie, good story makes you laugh but great acting by Al Pacino

5. Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves- Watched this movie a few times, just like the story, also the new robin hood is okay with russel crowe.

I have many other favorites always been a movie guy but these are my all time favourite others movies like Catch me if you can, titanic,Flight,Con air(probably my 6th fav)face/off are all good.

 

Can't really list my top 5, as I watch far too many, am too ciritical, and yea.
