Sign the petition: Catching Paedophiles

18 with a 17 yr old is fine. Here a 16 year old can be with a 20 year old, I'm talking about real pedos.

 

If you want to talk that way, let's put it this way.

Let's picture a world where there's no rules on sexual engagement like in the old days. Kids don't think/know anything about sex because they are young and haven't gone through puberty. One day comes a person at the age of 14 asking a 7 year old to have sex, the 7 year old would be confuse and don't know what to do but the 14 year old tells the 7 year old to do it because it's okay (which it isn't because the 7 year old DONT KNOW anything about sexual activities UNLESS he's been involve in sexual activities). When that 7 year old becomes 14-50, he/she will maybe repeat what was done to him/her to another youngster. Life is about growing and learning and the average age of when a person KNOWS when to say yes or no is at age 13-15 UNLESS they were force into something they didn't like/know. They will grow up STILL confuse about doing anything and they will have issues with themselves.

I've lost my virginity at age 15 but that doesn't matter about the age. I KNOW what I wanted and the person I did it with did also.

Another thing you should know. The law states that the age limit is 16/18 because that's when the body is fully develop into an adult. If the human body was able become an adult at a younger age, the age limit would be lower.

If you don't get what I mean then you need to educate yourself more on the human body and mind. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion but some opinion are just wrong.

 

Lol because the mind of a 5 year old is far from developed and an adult can easily make a 5 year old believe having sex with him is normal?

 

How can you justify a 20 year old having sex with a 5 year old? Even if the 5 year old is "willing", they clearly aren't in the right mind to make that decision.

 

I agree in quite a general sense, mostly that age in this case is completely arbitrary number. I personally think that someone over maybe 13 has the ability to consent for themselves, and I highly doubt that this organization will make the important distinction between a 5 year old, and a 17 year old.


I refuse to sign a petition that a) involves law enforcement around the world to censor the internet, they would be obviously censoring pictures of consenting individuals as well as those who are too young to consent and b) enforce "harsh punishments" (probably incarceration) of over 100,000 people a year to people with no distinction being given between it being a 17 year old, or a 3 year old.

Roary, you're better than this lol. Imagine if I posted a petition for a certain political party GENERAL DISCUSSION. Its obviously expected that not everyone will agree, and people are going to discuss it.


Just because you think that this being a good cause is a given, doesn't mean that people are going to be inclined to agree with you.

In regards to the topic at hand... I like it... Although what they should be doing is recording their ventures and posting that shit online... I'd watch it, Chris Hanson / To Catch a predator esque.

 

The only problem is that it will put a lot of children out of jobs but the parents shouldn't be forcing their children to do the work in the first place.

It's good people are actually doing something against these sick individuals.

 

Most people don't even know that this is going on, hopefully more publicity means more action.

 

A petition won't stop pedophiles. Even if we came up with the strongest and harshest punishment ever, they're still going to be out there.

With that being said, I can't stand pedophiles and have 0 sympathy for what happens to them once caught.

 

And jail is just a room.

 

Sadly.. If this did come into place, pedophiles would end up finding a way around it, there's just no stopping them.

People already do this, it's called e-whoring.

 

I'm just wondering how will they be able to catch these people, any one can give out false information and just not show their face in a chatroom.

 

I quite like this idea - rather than a disorganised attempt at catching such people, quite a lot of time, research, and planning has gone into this.

I would love to know out of the 1000 handed over to InterPol have actually been followed up/convicted. I hope that InterPol are treating the organisation with the respect and validity they deserve.

Yeah, some people wont fall for it, but they HAVE caught thousands of people using it. The more sophisticated and organised groups will still do what they do but that's not an excuse to keep modernising and advancing technologies used
