first 3d image

It's quite good for a first try, but it's kinda dark, and lacks colour.
This in only my personal opinion.

I had thought the supernova inside text layer (purple) would make up for text being black but i can see what you're saying.

 

It's too dark and the flare looks unedited and placed at the end. What program did you use to make this?

 

I'm currently learning with GIMP.

Its a bit too dark and the flash at the end seems just out of place.

 

I totally agree with StopSign, that supernova is not really in the right spot, and if it were, there'd have to be more shadows and no overlap on the last few letters.
I'm not sure what it is, but your lines are a bit raggidy?
Not sure if you get me, but there are white pixels around the outlines of your letters, could be your program messing up, or the fact you use photobucket

Last thing, if you upload images, use the direct link to the image, now you have a link in your signature and post that links to a photobucket page containing your image.
Rightclick on the image, Copy image URL and use that one.

That way you can put another link in, like your vouches or selling topic or whatevs.

The one you currently have is good. I quite like it.

 

As everyone has said before me it's to dark add some lighting and it will look pretty beast for your first one.
