garys hood, legit?

Gary's Hood is legit. I came across the program (the auto-typer) years ago, some time in 2004. It was originally written by someone in the Philippines, IIRC. I found the source shortly after, and gave it to Gary.

He changed it a little, fixed some broken functions (the message rate didn't work when I originally found it), and made it into an "all-in-one" client with an auto-clicker.

I have known Gary for a long time. I'm glad people are still stoked on the program!

I think many people had stopped/forgotten about it after Jagex had the chat update in which you have to press enter before typing now (ridiculously annoying). But shortly after the 07 servers came back it regained it's popularity ;o. I remember downloading it once in 2008 :S

 

That's actually kind of fascinating, to the point that I'd probably call bullshit but your join date kind of leads me to believe otherwise.

No problem! A lot of people on here claim credible shit, and are full of it. Gary and I met freshman year in high-school. He's a good dude! I didn't find out about Sythe for a few years after we started playing RuneScape.

 

That's pretty cool man ^ I've had the auto-clicker since probably about 6 years now.

 

Honestly, I never thought in a million years that it would be this popular.

I don't know jack shit about programming or coding (at all), I'm a car guy, but I remember finding the program and thought "This would be perfect for RuneScape!". I have no idea what the original maker used/planned on using it for. The original program sucked though, it was buggy. Somehow I stumbled upon the source a couple weeks after finding it. I had Gary clean it up, make it functional, and toss it on his website. I wanted something that the community would use, something that was easy, and virus free, since at that time most auto-typers I came across had keyloggers, etc.

After that was when he made the client, which as you guys know has a simple auto-clicker for alching, and some other small tools.

Almost 10 years later and here we are. He said since OSRS came out though that traffic for the site and mainly the auto-typer has went through the roof.
