Trynd is a noobtrap, mostly because there is not a lot of availeable strategies and most trynds always try lvl 2 cheese.

His teamfighting is horrible, you can completely outkite him.
His only strong point is splitpushing, wich in itself is hard to to do under diamond. you need teams with waveclear and disengage.

Basicly how to counter tryn: Early ganks, get tower and objectives and end game before he even gets a shiv, GG

I dont see why people say trynd is bad in teamfights...

Pop your ghost, botrk a carry watch as he dies.
As long as trynd isn't the only threat to a carry it isn't that hard.

    Also.

I don't know what to say except everything you just said is wrong. What division are you in and how many times have you played this champion?

i am gold 2 and play in a plat 1 team with 2 other diamonds and 2 platties.

thing is, you guys describe situations extremely unlikely, as in nobody will focus/cc tryn or camp his lane. I dont play tryn often as i main adc, but i play VS him a LOT. And honestly, ive never had problems vs tryn on enemy team the kiting potential is just too strong. You can for example:

    1. Chain CC him
2.Wait for him to waste his spin, making the kiting potential even more real.
3.Early game just CAMP him, its easier then you think with hard cc junglers(fiddle, noc, sej)

Lets say im wrong and you are right, why is tryn not a contested or even banned pick EXCEPT for diamond/challenger divisions?Noobtrap.
Why does nobody use him in LCS or almost at all anymore?because he sucks if you dont play it perfectly, aatrox and jax do his job waay better and are more usefull to the team. And to lostgamer911.... Akali and Yi snowballed the game and you are not even fed despite the huge farm, showing a pic of a stomp is no evidence

You're talking to a lot of people who are a lot better than Gold II and on a Plat I team, fella.

As for the above, no one plays him in LCS because he's not a very good champion when the other team is coordinated against him. That's why this thread is about how Tryndamere is a solid solo queue champion, not a solid LCS champion.

Okay, Mr. Gold. First of all, how do you know that tryndamere isn't contested/ is looked down on in plat/diamond/challenger, considering you've never been in those divisions? If you have statistical proof please show me.

People do play him in the LCS, not as a common pick, but we're not talking about professional players. Trying to validate your point with claims that don't apply to the topic is bad argument.

    To your arguments:
    1. Every champion is vulnerable to cc. I would argue that tryndamere adapts better to chain cc due to his escape mechanisms and ult. A lot of other people would be dead if they got caught in that situation. Weak, overused, and frequently proved wrong argument.

    2. What does "waste his spin" mean. Spinning in place and standing there until he dies? He uses his spin, which in addition to botrk/high movement speed/spin resets/exhaust/ghost/mocking shout will usually result in a kill, an escape, additional pressure on parts of the map, or objectives depending on how many people they the team has to send to him. You say "the kiting potential is strong" but tryn has anti-kiting built into him. Also, tryn isn't meant to focus on bot laners. True, that Janna will fuck you up and Vayne will be able to kite like she does anyone else. It's also true that later in the game we will kill then with 2 autos. But that's not really in his job description.

    3. Start with wards if you feel that there is high jungle threat. Just like any champion in the game. I don't see why "he can be camped" is an argument when any champion except for a select few can be camped.

    4. You argue that tryn is a noobtrap. But you're in gold and are as such part of the noobtrap you're trying to describe. You're probably playing with bad tryns. You don't have any real evidence or citation from reputable players to back your blind, regurgitated statements up.

It's funny how people keep saying Tryndamere can/should be camped. His sustain is so good that a normally decent Tryndamere player should kep his HP in the safe zone at all times. Furthermore, his dash is reasonably far, and he's got a really nice AOE slow and invincibility on his ult.

As a jungle main, I'd say that a Tryndamere is not an easy guy to camp. It just really takes away your focus from what most solo-queue junglers should be doing, which is getting their bottom or mid lanes fed.

If you are a really CC-heavy jungler (nautilus, etc.) then you can get away with camping him levels 2-5, but after that it's really up to your top lane to shut him down properly.

I'm not a jungle main, but I play most junglers at a mid-high diamond level, so I guess I have a decently valid opinion here?

I'd never camp a Tryndamere, but I usually try to kill him at least once before he hits 6. Tryndameres tend to take ghost-ignite, so catching a Tryn with an opportune stun/strong slow (Lee's cripple, for example) can be a pretty easy kill early. That can be enough to set a decent top laner ahead all through laning phase.

Personally, in solo queue I try to get my solo lanes ahead and snowballing instead of bothering with bot lane. I usually avoid bot unless I'm making a play on dragon or have a champion with solid double kill potential - think Evelynn, Malph, Amumu, Fiddlesticks, etc (someone with a strong AoE damage/CC ult). Bot lanes tend to ward well and play more cautiously than solo laners.

    Why not?

I am matched up against low plats and high diamonds quite often..

My normal MMR is higher than my ranked, I often find I am more challenged in normals than in ranked.

Tryn is like Kayle. If you let them farm/feed, they will be hard to beat. Of course that's only in low rank elo (Gold under)

Lol at this thread and saying that Trynd and now Kayle are noob fodder champs. Kayle is the #1 ban in Treeline and she's seen a LOT of LCS play during worlds. She's definitely not only good against noobs. Kayle's 2 second invincibility, her insane AOE DPS, and even her burst from her Q all make her a really strong pick.

It's pretty hard to find a ranged ability that scales 1:1 and is targetable, but Kayle is one of the few who does. A conservative lategame build with reasonable defensive stats in mind, Kayle can still dish out 600 damage every Q.

I'm just talking about solo queue. I'm not talking about teamwork, just the champion in general in solo queue.
