We now have some leaked specs!

There also appears there is going to be two "Black Edition" versions of the card with 6GB VRAM and 12GB VRAM, respectively. There also won't be a TDP limit on the Black Edition (Overclocking!)

Good lord, Nvidia are raping AMD as usual...

    I'm happy with my 770 though, don't need a 780Ti right now.

This is why AMD will never touch NVIDIA in the long run.

I'll stick with the R9 290x. Only $549, performance a bit better than the titan.

AMD cards don't offer PhysX though, which is becoming more and more common on newer titles.

Exactly, they're always a step ahead. I don't want them to stomp out AMD completely though for obvious reasons. The R9 290x was a pretty strong play by AMD tbh.

True, although if the 780ti comes out and beats the R9 290x for $599..I know which one I'm going with.

True, but for a $100 difference I'd probably go with the higher performing, cooler running card with PhysX. If AMD cut the 290x price it'd be a really hard call though.

interesting. They're really pushing the envelope with this GK110 core. It looks like this has pushed it to the limit. Bravo

I'll still be going to the AMD side for a change this time around. r9-290x offers the best price/performance ratio of any single-gpu offerings. And if you want PhysX, just pick up a GT440(easy to find, cheap, and handles PhysX easily) for under 50 bucks and run it alongside your AMD card. Install modded drivers and you're good to go. You'll actually get better performance out of the given game than the equivalent NVIDIA high-end card(processing its own phys-X) with phys-x enabled games...while still being cheaper. Besides, I don't see the 780ti being much, if any, faster than the 290X.

With AMD supporting all the newer, interesting technologies upcoming aside from Phys-X...running the two cards alongside each other gives you basically the ultimate solution...and keeps things cheap.

Seems like a lot of hoops to jump through to save about $50. If the 780ti has even so much as a 5-10% performance increase from the R9 290x then I'd say its the option to go for.

I agree though, this round of AMD cards is fiercely competitive. If it weren't for the upcoming release of the 780ti I'd be buying a R9 290x right now.

not really. Buy two cards, install two cards. install modded drivers. pretty easy concept.

Not really. AMD guts Nvidia when it comes it the lower end of the high range.

    I'll stick with an R9 290. I don't see a $700+ price tag justifying the GTX 780Ti when an R9 290 is all you'll really need for a while.
