Efficient Way Of Making GEEPEE?

I think I figured it out!!

maple long (u) = 100gp
nat (ess) = 35

100+35=135

alched = 192
192-135 = 57gp profit per alch

THIS METHOD TAKES 1 HOUR

Maple logs = 50gp
cutting into bow = 100gp
nat (ess) = 35
50+35 = 85

THIS METHOD TAKES 2 HOURS

alched = 192gp profit per alch
192-85 = 107
______________________________________________

57gp x 2 hours (buying unstrung bow) = 114gp gain per alch
107gp x 1 hour (buying logs and cutting) = 107gp per alch

 

Buying the maples. You'll always make profit that way and it saves a lot of time where you could be alching.

 

Buying maple logs, and fletching

 

Buying maples. Cutting them would take too much time and you would be able to make back or even profit from the loss you made.

 

What if I JUST make the nats, and BUY the maple longs (u)

calc shows its a 50% higher to fletch your maple longs (u)
but if I make nats could it balance out or even be more efficient?

 

I was too vague in my previous post. I meant buy the logs and cut them. Rather than cutting maple trees.

Fletch then alch. It's faster than making nats.

 

1k fletched (u) per hour : 50gp per log = 50k gp = 1k ph and 100gp each = 100k
1k nats per hour : 35gp ess, 280 nat = 245k gp per hour

You asked which is more efficient to do. In determining that, you need to calculate the time it would take to do these things.

You didn't explain whether you were doing the abyss method or not. If you are, then it's better to make your own nats.

Yes i am using the abyss. My only concern was,

1 hour can make 900-1k nats = ~250k profit
Whilst 1 hour of turning 50gp maple logs into 100gp maple longs (u), so making 1k an hour only gets 100k

Here's the thing, alching bows from all the end materials always ends in a loss. Whatever you did along the way (from crafting the nats to stringing the bows etc) was a higher income per hour than the entire thing combined.
