reason: good mix, not just about rapping fast. feels

reason: six minutes of rape
3. headlights
reason: closest to eminem show, but too much nate ruess, will prob be popular
4. bad guy
reason: feels like rap god mixed with more than just fast-paced lyrics
5. asshole
reason: more like one of the good songs off recovery
6. stronger than I was
reason: slow, kind of like (i'm) marshal mathers
7. so far
reason: real weird and unique
8. Love game
reason: kendrick goes pretty hard. funky beat
9. so much better
reason: similar beat to bad meets evil/relapse album, unique out the album
10. brainless
reason: I'd say similar theme to MMLP
11. evil twin
reason: relapse styled, just lots of word play. maybe meant to be like guilty conscience?
12. rhyme or reason
reason: funky beat again, doesn't go too well with lyrics. gets boring
13. berzerk
reason: oldschool. maybe it could have been mixed better though.
14. the monster
reason: meant to just be a chart climber, good rapping. not digging the nignog though
15. survival
reason: more like the bad songs from recovery tbh, and used for cod ad


will probably change as I listen to it more.

1. Headlights - Dem feels, slow beat, and I like Nate tbh, though I've never heard of him before.
2. Stronger Than I Was - Guess I'm digging his slower songs. I like the lyrics, as I do with Headlights.
3. So Much Better - Similar to one of his older songs but I cannot think of which one right now. Maybe an Encore song?
4. Legacy - Slamming song, lyrics, medium-slow pace is good. A bit poppy, but good.
5. Bad Guy - Medium beat, nice lyrics, good presentation = good song.
6. Asshole - If a bit of the Skylar was done differently, this song would be a bit higher. Nice beat, and the lyrics appeal to me =].
7. So Far... - HAHA WTF. I don't know what is going on here but it makes a good song lol.
8. Survival - Reminds me of a Recovery song, which I still listened to even though it was a partially meh album.
9. Evil Twin - Mediocre.
10. The Game - I love the doo-wop sounding beat haha it makes me laugh.
11. Brainless - Old-school Eminem song, but for some reason I don't dig it =/.
12. The Monster - Way too much Rihanna for me... seems like a Rihanna song.
13. Rap God - The beat reminds me of something a lesser-quality rapper would put out. Too poppy of a beat, if that's a thing.
14. Rhyme or Reason - Nothing to say about this.
15. Berzerk - Way too old school for me. My head hurts when I listen to this one.

Headlights and Stronger Than I Was. Oh my fuck, repeat forever. Two of the best songs since TES. Overall the album is very solid, it's better than I was expecting.

 

Great album. After monster was released i kinda jumped ship. After listening to the whole album its solid and has some awesome songs that i will be listening to for days. Cant wait to see whats on the deluxe version.



Love game remimds me of a tribe called quest song for some reason lol.

 

Solid ratings, but either way, I still plan on buying the whole album. Just the fact that Eminem is going back to his old style makes this album so much better.

Em is a beast, been a big fan since I was a little kid ... He reminds me of my dad, looks wise. And since he passed away when I was 8 eminem is a way of keeping a little peice of him :/... That has been the biggest influence in listening to his music.

But I think he is a beast artist! I had tickets to one of his concerts the last one he was going todo, but he canceled it in the end

To bad this song only comes out tuesday(full version) and you need to buy ghosts to get it with mmlp2....

Honestly, I'm changing my ranking of this album all the way to the top. That is, if all his albums came out at the same time, this would be the best one. I still like the older albums better, but that's only because of nostalgia and my age at the time I first heard them. This album is a much more matured Eminem, with better lyrics, better flow, all different kinds of beats. It's the most versatile, and almost all of his songs on the entire album are great to at least good, where as I cannot say the same about some of his older albums.

 

best song in my opinion was headlights, because it's like a sequel to cleaning out my closet.

album wise i'm not really that much of a fan of it, but i don't blame him especially since he's now 41

 

Yea, Im still a old school fan of his LP.
He seemed so much more *raw* back in the days.

 

Great album but i deleted survival and monster off the album. It is true to mmlp1 hes just grown and i love headlights just as someone else said. Its a sequel to cleaning out my closest. It really shows how hes grown from back in the day.

 

Bad guy was probably my favorite, Headlights where he forgives his mom literally gave me chills, and Rap God is just mind blowing.

 

Best song in my opinion is probably Headlights, as it just shows so much emotion
