How to chargeback on paypal? sent wrong person

Hey, sorry if this is wrong section, but my dad just send £20 to the wrong email address (lol), and it has already been accepted. Is there any way to get this back? and would a charge back be likely to work?

Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

Simply call paypal to explain the situation.

 

Call up the bank or credit card company and tell them what's wrong, or you can call paypal.

First, make sure that paypal email he sent it to is actually active. If it's not, the payment will have not gone through, and you can cancel it.

If it has, call paypal and explain to them the predicament. I'm sure if it is all legitimate they will comply and help you out.

Hey one question I was just reading these comments.. What if he calls up paypal and says that, but the guy who got the random sum of money lies to paypal and said he sold you a product etc... Don't paypal have some thing to believe the person receiving money over the sender ?

 

Then it would turn into a real case. He would have to provide the tracking number of the product etc. If he fails to do that, you're more suited to win.

 

If you call PayPal (Yes I know I'm replying to a banned account), they'll sort it out, I really doubt the other guy would go to the effort of trying to fake sending a product over twenty pounds.

They literally have every phone number to anyone you'd need rather than paypals 3 phone numbers.

Find someone regarding chargebacks and talk to them. They're going to try and transfer you but don't let them. Say you've been on the phone for an hour already and are angry

I use to call the "top dogs" or each department all the time, when I was dealing with EBay a lot. Lol. They'll get a little pissed, but screw them. After all, PayPal does suck.
