best guitar solo in the history of rock and roll?

Don't hate but freebird has a sick solo.

You know someone is going to come fuck this up with a good Charlotte solo or something.

Best guitar solo in history is a hard one because there are so many that are actually worthy of that. Freebird is a good one, I'd have to throw comfortably numb in there and stairway and then probably All along the watchtower after that.

As far as best soloists though, I'd probably have to say no one can make the guitar talk like Joe walsh. There is just so much soul in every song from beginning to end, his guitar literally comes to life. Wish I could find better quality videos but whatever.

Just finished listening to comfortablely numb. All along the watchtower is just a masterpiece. Also the solo is Layla is great.

 

i like slash's solos. Mostly the solos in november rain are pretty cool

 

they're not what you could easily call "rock and roll", but they do rock pretty fuckin hard. Awesome solos throughout the album this song is on

 

November Rain is where it's at.

 

eddie van halen's eruption is also worth a mention.
