What do you believe best mouse is for gaming?

Hey guys, I am trying to figure out what type of mouse I should purchase. I am a Runescaper and I do love to pk, so I am looking for something that is going to be accurate and work great.

I just got a Razer Imperator and I am not too impressed (I bought it used so I am sending back because it has some problems I believe.) So with that being said, I am unsure what type of mouse I should get now...


There are a lot of websites out there that cover the basics on good gaming mice, but I can never tell if by finding a mouse under and MMORPG section, if those mouses are going to still be able to be used effectively and accurately for pking and such. There are a lot of mice that are designed for shooting games because they are accurate, but I am not sure if that's the right choice either.

So what do you guys' use/think I should get?

Been using a Logitech G700S, and it's absolutely excellent. You can use it with or without the cable in wireless. either way offers lightning fast responses.
Plenty of programmable buttons, easy to program with Logitech mouse software. You can also adjust sensor settings and sensitivity. I take it with me when I travel with my laptop, and use it on my desktop at home with the cable. Battery life is a bit short though unless you decrease the sensor settings a bit.

 

I have a Razer Naga Epic Elite MMO gaming mouse, but ive been using just an HP wireless mouse recently. After I forgot the cable at a friends, I had to use the HP mouse, and I found I had more control(because it was a smaller mouse), but the Razer naga is good. It honestly also depends on the game(s).


For just RS, id just suggest a gaming mosue with sidekeys or soemthing, or mabye even getting a mechanical gaming keypad. An example is the Razer orbweaver.

Also, what problem do you think you have with the Imperator, as it may be you, the drivers, or an actual problem.

 

I replace my mouse every 6 months due to heavy use caused by 10-12 hrs/day of playing CS:GO and by far the Steelseries Xai (now the Steelseries Sensei) is the best in terms of durability, simplicity and price.

At about $58 per unit they have a much lower price tag than other competitive mice out there. Unless you're playing World of Warcraft or a highly macro dependent mouse, the Sensei has everything you need for a simple gaming mouse.

 

I have a Razor DeathAdder. It's a fairly good mouse. I haven't tried a lot of different mice because I'm not rich and I feel like $70 for a mouse is ridiculous enough.

Ive got the razer naga and a logitech g9x.

Ive always liked razer, I have a few products, but the mouse was a gift after I already had the g9x. Although the naga was alright, I preferred the g9x much more. Ive been considering a rat as well, but it has quite the price tag if you want the newest model.

 

I've bought countless products from Logitech before...and all the mice ended up being dysfunctional. They do have excellent customer service, but I grew tired of calling them every other month or so. My friend then told me about Razer and because they were so damn expensive, I was hesitant to buy one at first.

I ended up buying the Naga and it's been working flawlessly for me for 2+ years. I would totally recommend buying a mouse from Razer.

 

I was thinking of getting a logitech, I have always enjoyed their products before. I will definitely check that one out.

Uhh the Imperator would at random times stop registering my movement. The cursor would be stationary in one spot for a second and I would have to double click to get the mouse to recognize that I needed to move it. Definitely not good for pking and accurate clicks.

Hmm, do you think it would fair well with Rs pking, or are you familiar with the game?

Yeah, I am torn between the two products.

Which one though? As stated; I had to Razer imperator and wasn't fully impressed.

 

if u want a good mouse from my experiences with looking;
Zowie AM/FK/EC1/EC2 eVo <recommend them the most, quality etc is far better than almost every other mouse ive owned(only ones i consider near is the ones listed below)
Logitech G400/MX518
CM Storm Spawn
Microsoft IME 3.0, WMO 1.1, IMO 1.1 < great mice regardless of there age, could grab one for 10bucks or so off ebay n such. do run low dpi though and not able to change that(400/450DPI).

 

Ah, so you think the Zowie is the best? I am not familiar with that brand. I will have to check it out.

The g9x cost me about $95 so the price is up there too. The cheaper mice is obviously not as good if you pay less, but calling them every month is something. What got me was the whole adjustable weight thing. I was disappointed as I was expecting a bigger difference. I ended up liking it because of how comfortable it was, it has 2 extra cases if you like your mouse bulky, remove them if you dont want it bulky. The dpi is also adjustable on the mouse itself. Ive had the g9x for a year and a half and still works flawlessly, still have the naga which also works but I just prefer the g9x.
