    I think to start off we need to be sure that you realize there is no quick fix. I think one of the biggest helps in eating healthy is cooking healthy. Which means staying away from premade foods such as TV dinners, microwavable meals, french fries, etc.

    Start by buying whole foods at grocery store, such as vegetables and meats. That's something that made a huge difference for me, just forces you to not be lazy.

    In terms of healthy meals there are plenty of websites. I found the app for my phone (Android) BigOven really helped with meal ideas.

    Another little quicktip, cook before you're hungry!

    Thanks for the advice, and I'm not looking for a quick fix! I'm looking for a 30 day plan that's already laid out for me =p I simply don't have the time to put in a lot of research on the various schools of thought and put together a 30 day meal plan for myself.

    I think what he meant to say was, you very well may could be given an excellent 30 day plan/guideline etc which may cause weight loss or a degree of greater healthfulness, however as soon as you go off of this "diet", all your progress will revert back to its former state.

    Essentially, if you want change, at least permanent change, then this must be a long term goal. And if it is to be a long goal, then there is no excuse or shortcut to not educating yourself on the intricacies of proper nutrition.

    There's a pill I take containing the recently popular supplement, Garcinia Cambogia. It's extract from the Garcinia plant and it is supposed to help with building lean muscle mass and diet suppression (which is a nice bonus, but I've never needed help with as I portion my meals quite normally).

    The kicker is that it turns any leftover fat about to be stored in your body into energy instead. They've done numerous tests on the plant and its benefits and I was sure to go and research on my own before jumping in head first.

    It is recommended that you only use the pills for a period of 12-weeks then stop for at least 4-8 weeks before you continue, so there are some slight precautions. It is my 4th week taking these pills thrice a day with meals and it has shown. I was 160lbs on September 20th and am now 150lbs without any exercise (injured my shins earlier in the summer so I am staying off the cardio for a few months or so and without any heavy exercise I figured I needed something to show for it). There is reduction in my belly size and my thighs are much leaner.

    It is truly not a quick fix, but it seems to be working for me if not for just the placebo effect.

    Thanks for further explaining what he was trying to get across. While I completely agree with you I'd still love something to get me started off. The first month I want to see if there is any difference with the way I'm feeling/get a general idea of what I should be eating throughout the day. Obviously the long term goal would be to naturally pick out the best foods to eat, but right now what I'd really like to see is what a months worth of good choices looks like. Probably follow it for the first month, and then make adjustments myself as necessary.

    I totally get your point, but my mind operates in a unique way and I think that this would be the most successful way for me. If I simply just resolved to eat healthier without a well planned out strategy it wouldn't happen. After the first month maybe I'll write my own that's similar but more catered to my personal tastes.

    Thanks for your suggestion/recommendation. I'm pretty skeptical about most forms of diet pills etc but its something that I'd be willing to at least look into.

    Might I ask what brand you've been using? I have a friend who is a nutritionist so I'll run it by her and see what she thinks as well.



    I'll keep looking when I get home, but if someone knows/is able to be find what I'm looking for I would really appreciate it!

    Eating healthy is expensive.

    Whole food markets such as Trader Joes, Whole foods market sell organic vegetables, chicken. Its very expensive to shop there and its cheaper if you just went to a grocery store chain like Safe Way, Save Mart, Lucky's.

    i never buy vegatables that is already sliced, i do it by my self. i drink much water as posible, stay away from red bulls, cola and other sugar drinks

    chicken,fish that have very low fat is a good way

    Lol. So you want US to do all the work by giving you a shopping list with meals already sorted lol..... If it was that easy haha...

    Doing a diet takes time... Generally judging by what you said, you should basically swap all fried meat for grilled. No takeaways...

    Also I would advise that you also run some kind of training program to get the optimum gains from your diet... That can consist of just bodyweight training (pullups/press ups/squats etc etc)... And also going for some running on the roads would also be a great help!

    Once you get into a routine of running the diet + training it will come @ a ease.. You will start WANTING to train etc etc rather than having to ;)

    Naw, i'm not asking you to write one for me. Its just that I know that they exist. I've seen them in books before etc, I was just wondering if anyone had a specific one in mind. It really is that easy if you're willing to do the shopping and cooking/preparation =p Seems like no one knows one though, they just want to give me general eating advice which is fine I guess haha xD

    Not really... I cook 95% of my meals. The vast majority are healthy as fuck and cost under $1 per serving. I spend around $70 a week on groceries.

    If you are actually interested in a good, DETAILED (its pretty deep on science/anatomy) review of nutrition, read "why we get fat and what to do about it" by Gary Taubes.

    Refer to the links and advice I gave :p good quality stuff on there.

    The gym I went to awhile back gave free personalized diet plans, they used excel and I assume it had the average nutrition facts for each meat etc etc. Try and find something like that.
