whats an acceptable hourly rate for a job?

I live with my parents and make 10.75$ on weekends when I'm not in university. I can say that the 10.75$ would not be sufficient to live on if I were to work 40 hours a week and live on my own. If I were to have to do this every cent would have to count. (This is a part time job to help pay for university I do not plan on EVER staying there).

An acceptable hourly rate is whatever you're willing to work for.

Imo, an acceptable rate is whatever allows you to live reasonably comfortable in whatever state/city you live in. The college city I go to, if you're not making $15/hr, you better start finding a second job. Back at home, though, the cost of living is lower, so $8-10 is very comfortable for paying off bills and having extra money for entertainment. This is all full-time, of course.

part time job or full time?

I'd say about £5 hour is alright for a part time job.
