    My eBay story!..

Hey. ---> tldr; Be careful when selling expensive items.

Right, my girlfriend wanted a new phone so she purchased a iPhone 4S via eBay, soon as she purchased / paid, the item was shipped and she decided she wanted an iPhone 5! (Typical woman haha)... Anyways we received both phones, so she sold her iPhone 4S (new).

We declined the winning bids of people with LOW feedback, and we sold to someone that had 400+, so we though everything would be ok... We tried to unlock the phone and we was told the phone was pending so we sold the phone as 'unlock pending'.....

The buyer received the phone and a few weeks later was complaining about the phone being locked, so ok we told them to purchase the unlock from Vodafone and we will pay for it.

A few weeks later, we got a case opened against us on eBay !!! They are saying the phone is not working! So we was basically saying Bullshit! as they have openly admitted the phone was working in the first place before they tried to unlock. So anyways eBay took the case in their favor like the little cunts they are! So we now have a broken iPhone 4S and we are potentially out of the £310 we sold it for!!!! So we took the phone to a specialist near us and he said they have taken the phone to bits, removed the warranty stickers, and also broken the screen cables... We was gobsmacked that the cheeky cunts have broken the phone and said it was our fault!!!

So they paid for the phone and then broke it while trying to unlock / jail break and took it apart to try and reset by taking the battery out and then failed and complained to us! TWATS!!!! But now that has pissed me off, but before hand I made sure I didn't sign for the returned phone as it was delivered to a commercial property (My business) and they didn't correctly address the package to our business address (missing the business name out of the address) the package could of been delivered next door as we share the same post code + house/building number.... So HAHA to them, so anyways my 'friend' signed for the package using his signature, and we have filed a dispute against the case decision made by ebay, and explained was the package sent to the correct address and did I sign for it!...

So thanks for the £310 + the phone back aswell, oh and it only cost like £60 +VAT to fix, so we will again sell the phone and get £300~... That will teach the cunts.

I'm pretty sure you're going to have to return the broken phone if you want to stay on Sythe...

No chance. that scammer may attempt to report you on sythe.org

I highly doubt that will happen...

If you have insufficient evidence to back your claims that you were indeed recovering your stolen property the staff may be forced to ban you.

I easily have enough evidence if that staff have nothing better to do than follow up on what was mentioned in my OP. :)

Did you even read what you just posted? He recovered his own property back directly from the scammer, which is within the rules.

    Indeed lol.

I was / am so angry at what they tried to do! I mean me and my girlfriend live a honest (as good as) life, we have bills / a child to pay for etc etc and for someone to have the cheek to take £100's of pounds away from someone just because they can ! ARGHH makes me mad haha :p....

Anyways eBay stated to me that we will get the £310 that has been withdrawn from our account back in about 10days :D

From what I gather, you're only allowed to counter-scam the value of what you were scammed. That means you could have either counter-scammed the £310 or the iPhone (had it been in the same state you sold it as).

At the moment you have the £310 + the broken iPhone, which means you've counter-scammed for more. Hence why I said you would have to return the broken iPhone, but meh - that's just how I interpret the rules.

You guys saying that he's counter-scamming are fucking idiots. Closing this to avoid more idiocracy.
