    Question About MacBook's

I've been thinking lately to buy a laptop just to use in my free time at school, not real gaming or anything like that because i already got a computer for that at home. And ofcourse i don't wish to spend a shitload on a laptop that i might use 2-3 hours a day max between break periods.

Now to my question, i've seen a second hand macbook pro on the italian craiglist selling for 350 euros. I've met up with him irl, and i've seen it myself. It didn't have any extreme/major damage and all looked perfectly well and ran smooth (a little scratches here and there in the corner of the case, but it's expected) and i told him i'd think about it. (it's the mid 2010 macbook pro 13 inch)

Now I also heard that it's extremely annoying to install programs on macs/Mac os (not sure if true) so i wish to ask 2 questions

    1) If it's worth it to buy it
    2) If it's worth to change the os to windows 7 ( already have) and just use the laptop that way

    Question About MacBook's

    1. It's not annoying installing apps on a MacBook. If anything, it's faster than windows.

    2. If you're not using it for gaming, it's defenity worth buying.

    3. It's honestly not worth changing the OS to Windows 7.

    Question About MacBook's

i just spent ALOT on my brand new macbook pro(bought it a week or two ago) and i've got used to the changes and gaming already, i upgraded to 8gb RAM, and it goes like a rocket, even though my net is complete shit.
Mac is good for everything, though i'd get a new one with a warranty, they're pretty expensive to repair, for 350€ i'd not go near it, as i can't believe anyone would sell that cheap :/
this is coming from someone who has used a windows desktop for years, the transition was easy, and yeah
i'd recommend a macbook to anyone

    Question About MacBook's

Just to add a comment about running windows. You can always use Bootcamp. I have Bootcamp on my Air and it allows me to use my mac side when I am just casually doing things and if there is ever a Windows Only program I need I can switch over to my PC side in about 20 seconds.

    Question About MacBook's

If you're only using it for school purposes/taking notes and just need something very light/long battery life consider something like a samsung chromebook.

They're like 2 pounds, and have 6+ hours of battery life. You can buy one brand new for $250. I picked mine up exclusively for carrying around with me and using at school and so far I haven't regretted it.

    Question About MacBook's

    Using a MacBook for gaming..?

OT: I am currently thinking the same thing but I decided to go with a windows computer that's sort of similar, such as...

    http://www.amazon.com/HP-TouchSmart...e=UTF8&qid=1381734640&sr=1-1&keywords=Laptops

As you can do much more things on them.

Its all your opinion though I guess.

    Question About MacBook's

Is worth buying, Apple makes quality laptops. You can use bootcamp to dual boot Windows but I wouldn't use Windows as the main OS because battery life will decrease and the touchpad won't work as good. Installing apps is just as easy as in Windows.

    Question About MacBook's

Personally, I was in the same boat as you, but after some research I just realized that Macbooks and other top laptops are stacked. I'd never use them to their full capabilities and those extra specs kind of go to waste.

If you can afford it, go for it, but if you want to save some money just find a decent one for a lower price.
