I think its unfair.. people bought these skins to think it would be only "limited" to those who bought them before you can't anymore.

Riot is just doing this purely for profit.

Personally, I don't really like it since I already own a vast majority of this, but I understand how others would feel if I were in their position so I understand . And for me, that would let me get the other skins that I did miss out on.

My wishlist, will definitely be saving up but it looks like I'll be getting alot of these skins for free as I would get around 10 skins worth of RP from the list that I didn't include.

 

theres a few of these i've eye fucked so much & wanted. Excited is not the word.

 

People that already purchased the skins will get their RP back + a summoner icon.

 

Uh Oh..... That's $150 gone on my Credit Card already...

 

Some oldfags are going to be besides themselves. Personally, I chose not to buy any of these skins the first time around, and I may or may not bother with it this time.

I might have to pick up a few of the AD skins to keep my role-centric skin collection going, though.

 

I didn't play back in the day but for a lot of these skins i won't be too bothered, i'll probably pick up a few though

People that bought those legacy/limited edition skins are quite not unhappy for the fact that they're being re-released again for a main reason.. PROFIT.

Think of it as someone in runescape that owns a party hat. Everyone who just started or never got a chance to pick one up during a drop party are jealous because they don't have one. Because party hats are very limited and only exclusive to those who can afford it makes it worth keeping. When you have a party hat in your inventory and you're wearing it to show off, you have this feeling where you can show it off to people who don't have it.

Now riot is releasing these "limited edition" or "legacy" skins again which the owners who bought them won't have that feeling again. That feeling where you use a rare limited edition skin and nobody else on your team or enemy team has it just feels great. People will be like " Oh wow, nice skin ", " Hey, where did you get that skin??", and " oh man I wish I had that skin, it looks really good ".

If I owned a limited edition/legacy skin and riot re-released it again, whats the main purpose of calling them limited edition?

to my understanding, this is just riot being greedy and want profit by re-releasing skins that were told they won't be available again. I have about 10k rp just sitting in my account. some people ask me why I don't spend any, well what is there to spend except summoner skins that does nothing for you except make your champion look nicer. I can just download the skins I want but the down side is that people will see it as an original skin.

tbh, skins are a waste of money although i guess people who owned these skins got their money back and have no benefit in the game except enhance your game . If you look at the #1 worlds champion team member Sk Telecom T1 Faker, he says that the default skins are good enough and that he doesn't need pre paid skins

 

You're so right I HATE when companies try to make money! I agree though they should give these away for free because if they sell them that would mean they GET money which would piss everyone off.

 

I agree, those skins should be limited... they shouldn't just re-release them... conversely I see the other argument that not many active players have these skins nowadays... it just makes it that more exciting to see them
