see this is were you are wrong, people just use knives etc, you waive a gun in someones face 9 times out of 10 they'll give you what you want, you wave a knife in someones face they'll prob try to stop you, so you'll have to acc stab them to feel threatning.


to drunk to try and expalin this more but i find it funny EU countries with no guns have more crime then gun ridden places and thats a fact go look it up.

 

Pretty much this. You also will never get rid of all the guns in America. There is just too many and too many people love them. The criminals will always have them. End of story.

 

While criminals have them, law abiding citizens need them as well. The only way to stop someone with a gun that intends to kill, is with another gun. Peace talks and giving them what they want doesn't always work, but a shot to the CNS does.

 

Maybe we should make crack and heroine illegal too! Then there wouldn't be any of it on the street!

What guns do you own? Did you have to jump through hoops for permits and licenses or was it fairly easy to obtain?

That's fine for information. I also had to do a background check and fill out my social, DL number, address ect.

Wasn't that bad tbh, just can't be a felony/have a warrant.

 

the system works just fine, i have no issues with doing a background or even a mental health test, people just want to bitch about what criminals do, i dont care how many laws you pass a criminal is someone who breaks the law so why hamper only law abiding cits?

i didn't have to wait for mine as the BG check was instant, i did however have to wait for it to ship to the gun store.

 

What State do you live in?

NH is the same way, near instant BG check and then they photo copy ID (DL) and the form you filled out.

I know Cali has some wait periods usually.

points. 1. People with known mental conditions a majority of the time gives warning. If not by verbal its by behavior. Example. Psyiciatrist has patient a. If patient a warns or talks about doing such a event as shooting. The psychiatrist isn't allowed to tell as it offends the patient doctor confidentiality. There fore the systems are messed up in that aspect. They sho
uld be able to warn. Also tougher gun laws or bans won't work because criminals will
get them illegally. Bans just result in good law abiding citizens not being able to protect themselves from the.criminals. and before someone ignorant states that is what 911. Is foe. What about the people who lives outside of city limits. Also do you think the criminal will just pause his activities while the cops arrive

There currently are back round checks on all sales from gun stores. If you are selling to your cousin/son/long-term neighbor as a "Private-sale" to a person of "known character" without any "known crimes" and you have known them for a "reasonable time" (5+ Years) then you can.

think thats fair, law abiding citz will do the right thing, again really more disscussion on this isn't need, all it boils down to is criminals will ignore all laws, and i don't car if the fed gov bans all firearms, they will never be able to clean them out of this place.

 

what about stop and frisk laws?

many police officers have made arrests in "scummy" areas of towns due to this law. If someone is acting sketchy they can shake them down and find weapons/drugs on them.
