Addition to the user/ip audit

Hello! I would like to suggest an addition to the user/ip audit.

Would it be possible to perhaps bold the IP that the user created their account on?

This would perhaps stop confusion over two users having the same IP perhaps due to using a public WiFi, etc...

Support, or have it as the first IP that pops up. I match with a ton of people since I've hopped on sythe on various connections/VPN's/LTE/etc.

Would definitely make finding ban evaders a lot easier and weed out a lot of false alarm ban evading reports too

Right click wouldn't work, but I do agree the drop-down would be pretty convenient

 

As far as I know, registration IPs don't show in the user audit, it only audits post IPs (therefore if they didn't post with their registration IP it won't show). In any event, the registration IP can also be a proxy, public wifi, etc.

Regardless, this isn't a tool for you guys to be using for chasing vaders and such, but rather just something that you can use during a trade or something of that sort to help keep you safe.

Protip: For the most part, if an IP matches A LOT of accounts, its more than likely a proxy. Another thing I like to do is simply find the profile of a few listed accounts and check the last activity date, creation date, etc and see if they conflict (one banned in 2012 while an account from 2009 is unbanned), this will tell you if its the same person or not for the most part.

 

I'm very supportive of this suggestion as it would be very beneficial and expansive compared to the system incorporated now.

Could also be a mobile IP. I know I have DOZENS of IP matches due to the fact I use a mobile hotspot at work and I also browse and post from my cell.

Wouldn't be surprised if I had the largest IP audit on sythe. I can guarantee at the very least, it's one of the largest between the fact that I use my cell/hotspot and the fact I've posted from IP's around the world due to my military travel.

I can understand what you're saying, but it's what the I.P Audit has turned into. And sure while the members who try to catch out Evaders aren't Staff, what they're doing still helps the community, so if there's something that can be done to help them out, I think it should be done.

I will also go ahead and offer some support as long as it is easy enough to do.

 

The first ip database record from each user should be the ip the user used to register on. I am sure this is possible. I think Sythe didn't look at it yet.

 

I'm not opposed to this. I don't think it's possible though.
