Want a Donor Rank someone else has

I'd like the Custom donor rank Lalapo14 has, but i need his permission, i pm'd him weeks ago to no response, what can i do?

 

Have you tried grabbing him on Skype and asking? He's a bond owner and has a role in the market, so he probably gets a load of Private Messages and may have missed yours. If he has seen it and he hasn't replied, I'd assume it means you don't have his permission.

Didn't even know you needed permission to have someone elses Rank though, considering it's just a couple of images that are already widely available.

Please quote the rules where it says you need permission. I do not recall stumbling upon this rule.

 

Too lazy to look around for the rules, but I do remember CSkiff/Corey having to ask someone before being able to get the Blue Phats in his donor rank (or maybe someone had to ask him, all I remember is that someone had to ask someone to get the blue phats and Corey was one of those guys)

 

I was under the impression that was because staff had phats/santas as their ranks?

 

Yeah only staff can have partyhats as their donor ranks, but Corey was already a Global Mod at the time IIRC so that wasn't the issue

 

Matt denied my custom rank with the reason 'Need permission from Lalapo14' so idk? Any mod insight would be helpful

 

Dj and Corey were the only ones to have a blue phat, and still do. So one of them asked the other.

I never knew permission was needed, I just assumed anyone can have anything they wanted, and everyone had different ones to be unique. Id take it as a no unless you find another method of contacting lalapo. Until he doesnt agree, there's nothing more you can really do.

 

I realized that they need to be unique. Mine was approved, but it was the same as someone else's (I had no clue that person had it) so it didn't go through.

Why would you want the same rank as someone else anyways, regardless of how it looks?

The perk does say "Customer User Rank"

But i feel like a common image found on google images should be allowed. (Myself personally). Especially if someone doesn't have the decency to answer for you a few weeks (unless they are away/tending to personal or professional business).

Can you change the image slightly and reapply for it?
maybe add a lighting effect in the bottom left of the side image?

Still, i dont see why we need permission, for as stated above, openly available pictures???

 

He is trying to make it a unique rank to yourself, which is understandable and ideally reasonable.

There needs to be a list of "custom ranks" taken so we can choose a different one or ask permission from someone else to use one already taken to avoid that long span of waiting 2 weeks just to get denied.

 

You could check the donor list compiled in the donors lounge, if you see a custom rank that isn't up there just PM the OP and they'll add it in

 

The list doesn't cover everyone, it is insightful though.
