Do you think OldSchRunescape will grow?

Im waiting till about a month after gwd till i judge how many active players it actually has

 

I expect a substantial spike in activity, if not playerbase, as GWD and its effects come back to the game.

 

Rs3 is dying no1 wants that shit anymore they ruined the originality of the gamr it was perfect the way it used to be honestly the 07 server is the only thing that will hold up runescape to be honest and they will slowly destory it also by doing to many rs3 updates on it. I remember the times where there was 150k people online go look now ur lucky if u get 70k

 

It won't grow the way people expect it to do.

The game looked good in 07, now it's 2013. The games people are interested in are like LoL/Diablo/WoW.

Also, the game is ran by complete idiots.

 

nope, 07scape is just Jagex's side bitch for making money. They don't give a shit about the players anymore.

 

I don't think so, seeing as there's only a fraction of the people on now as there was a few months ago.

 

Well rs clearly became a joke just look at the players online they should do a total reset !!! All accounts cleaned with very lil cash but those who originally received rares from 2001 wtv should be elegible to receive 1 of the rares iunno its a solid idea

 

I don't think it will grow; there's nothing attractive about it apart from the nostalgia. Theoretically speaking it is dead, 20-30K players online is nothing in comparison to its 'competitors'. Too many bad updates to begin with have made them oblivious towards their audience and customers due to their hostility. This will be their downfall.

 

I always suspected it would never really work. I knew so because when I played Classic again on one of my accounts, it just wasn't the same. RS2 is gone and bringing it back after so long, well, everyone has just moved on sadly (actually, for the better probably).

Changing the game server.

2007 is way too old to bring in NEW players.

 

They simply cant sustain 2 games with both f2p... They were dieing hard enough from making EOC so openeing to F2p to 07 will eigther no improve much or KIll the rs3

 

2010/2011

 

07 Is dying, if they would bring back 2010/2011 I bet ALOT more people would start playing again, jagex are dumb, once there was 250k people online, dang i remember those days, 1k+ players in every world was sick..

 

It will die, there is too much $$ to play OSRS

But if they make it free, then RS3 will die and that's their primary game.

 

07 is already dead but they'll always have 5-10k hardcore players who will keep playing as long as the servers are online

 

I understand the reasoning, but I feel that if they release F2P, it makes the membership experience more satisfying. I don't think including F2P will cause them to lose any of their current members, it'll just allow players who couldn't previously play Old School RS to be able to play now. (Young kids who can't get their parents to pay.)

 

Interested to see the activity once GWD comes out, I expect a small increase due to AGS's and the likes being released

 

If there are AGS's introduced into the game, I would totally consider going back for the p2p pking that I have so long missed.

As stated above, they would have to make a portion of it F2P for me to consider coming back so soon (prior to implantation and AGS's becoming popular).
