Need Some New Music

I am at college and everyone says I am sheltered from music. I have really only listened to kiss 108 (New England station) and popular songs on the radio.

I have really come to like (through my roommates vast ipod selection)

• "house music"
• light dubstep
• trap

can anyone give me a list of bands/composers that have some really good music. I know excision is pretty good, but I need more!

Not into a lot of electonic music bit i like arman van burrens album titled "intense"

 

listened to a few of his tracks! Seems sick! Know of any others like him? All the related artists on youtube suck.

 

Listen to folk-punk. Wingnut Dishwasher's Union, Andrew Jackson Jihad, Spoonboy, Johnny Hobo and the Freight Trains, any of the bands on Plan-it-X records.

 

That's a lot. I'll be sure to try some of those out.

All those are. That is just a small selection of my musical repertoire. If you like those I can recommend more.

Early Against Me! is really good. Led Zeppelin for sure is amazing. If you're into metal/hardcore/death metal/deathcore then go with bands like Pantera, Sepultura, At The Gates, Chelsea Grin, Alice Through The Windshield Glass, Attila, My Heart to Fear, At The Drive-In, Enter Shikari, early Bring Me The Horizon, all of the stuff by I Killed The Prom Queen when they had their original vocalist, Sky Eats Airplane, and if you really like Sky Eats Airplane come back and I can recommend some more Nintendocore bands.

Oh yeah, I forgot one of my favorites, Iwrestledabearonce.
