Have you considered that you possibly RWT'd with an uncover Jagex employee? That sounds far-fetched, but it's always a possibility.

 

Most likely, you bought gold from someone that botted and they tracked the trades.

 

Just get a job irl, make it back in a month or less.

 

I'm in my final year of university and it's too much having a part-time job while studying. I left my job about 2 months ago and I've started applying for graduate scheme jobs hoping that I may get some financial help when I do my masters.

 

My main account got banned with close to $20,000 worth of gold only a couple weeks ago so it is a small loss if put it into prospective. Just like kmjt said its apart of trying to make money on Runescape as much as it sucks to lose money sometimes it happens unfortunately. Being banned after trading x amount while another account hasen't been banned for trading a lesser amount just comes down to luck and when you decide to do business, 12am - 8am GMT seems like the best time frame for avoiding bans for rwt (they will still happen though).

were you using a reliable/popular rwt method before this happened? was the person trading also reliable and used discrete methods?

 

tbh not really. But I did get a long way before getting banned.
