YEEHAW, I can't wait to go hunt this year. It's such a rush seeing that deer come in. The
Excitement overwhelms as nerves and anticipation kicks in releasing a rush of
adrenaline. Does anyone else here take part in this amazing sport?

I go shooting with my .22 air rifle, I just do target practice mainly. I could never kill a deer, maybe a rat or pigeon; that's as far as it goes, they're vermin.

There actually is nothing barbaric about true hunters, people who go out poaching and so forth have no respect for the animals or regulations which deems the unworthy to be called true hunters. Real hunters hold a high respect level for their enviroment and the game they are after. True hunters value the importance of ethical shots and so forth.

Bullshit! Hunting (in terms of a sport) originated from barbaric hunting dating back to the stone age, which is, yeah... just a tad barbaric.

Animals are meant to be hunted for food, not for fun. It makes no sense hunting and killing a defenseless creature.

If anyone enjoys killing for fun and call it a sport, well then then they should be the ones hunted and have their heads mounted on a wall afterward as a trophy.

They hunted for food which is why I do not deem "trophy hunters" true hunters. In modern hunting real hunters with the respect of the animals they are hunting is more then a "shoot at site" reaction. Therefore I only regard true hunters as people who do it for more.mere fun such as eating or donating the meat.

I agree, it should never be about the fun of it and more about the food. If the hunter doesn't eat it themselves they can donate the meat. Ethical hunters have full respect of the game they are hunting.

I'm not able to load.the link.as I am on my mobile phone.
offtopic though: commercialized meats are often actually truly barbaric in the ways they dispatch the animals. A true ethical hunter strives to be as ethical as possible

Mmmm partridge. I wouldn't be able to kill a deer though. They look like they're thinking and that bothers me meanwhile partridge are stupid.

Understandable, people have different preferred species I would perhaps like patriges if we had them here. Most of what we have here are whitetail.deers, Black bears squirrels and turkeys. I hunt deer yearly for.the meat to last.throughout the year which saves a lot of money. However I do enjoy connecting with nature

Have you ever had the opportunity to eat deer? It's extremely tender when cooked properly and lean with less fat than beef.

I don't have a problem with hunting as long as it's not just for sport. It's not that much different to kill a deer or a bird than the butchering of countless cows, chickens, and pigs. I don't enjoy taking the life of any animal though, but I'll still eat any kind of meat. I don't think I've had it, but I've heard deer is amazing and very tender. I've been deep sea fishing many times and I don't even care for that. I've never been hunting though. It's never appealed to me and seems extremely boring to wake up before dawn and sit in a deer stand all day waiting for one to finally walk by. I honestly can't think of anything worse. If I were to go hunting, then I'd go boar hunting. That seems much more exciting where you have some dogs chase and tire the boar out, then you jump down and slash its throat. I've heard it's pretty fun.

While I've hunted for food once or twice, I'd never kill for the sake of killing. Killing for sport is just downright cruel and pointless.
