Then they are idiots and will get scammed regardless of whether or not the person has a UE rank. We make it very clear that the rank does not imply trust. In addition, if the person is just trying to get a UE rank to scam, there are easier ways of gaining trust. Pen scammed. He was an ex-admin for crying out loud. We can't stop people from abusing trust and a rank that they have to work for to get and keep isn't going to magically make them much more trusted than if they were legit trading for a while and then pulled a big scam.

I already have answered that. Please don't just ask the same questions over and over again. It gets old.

 

To be honest why does ranks even matter, if it's literally something for users helping users, a rank shouldn't exist, however if there are positions available and you wish to differentiate people a simple mini-rank could suffice and work as an open minded solution?

 

The problem with that is that mini-ranks are worthless and lets face it, some of the team would be there for the rank - they wouldn't care to do so if it were only a mini-rank up for grabs.

 

You're banned but the rank makes it so people want to do it. I've gone over this point 9000 times and I'm getting tired of writing out my reasoning. It gives incentive and that isn't a bad thing.

 

RuneScape guides originally weren't allowed in applications, I personally agree that they shouldn't either, but that'd be a vote for the majority.

I agree, this plan looks well thought out.

I do think I'd fit well on the team, though I'm very busy. I could make time to help with whatever needs done, but I'm more of a community assistant than anything else. I know the sythe rules like the back of my hand and I have a dip into almost every gaming market/trend there is.

As far as ranks, I feel as if they should be added, it gives the users incentive. Also, have a head UE whose primary purpose is to ensure the activity and positive attitude of the rest of the team.

At the moment it's more or less notifying the staff that can make the difference of the plan before recruiting members. Can't recruit members if there isn't a team haha. Thanks for your support though.

 

True, but it always helps to have teams for different shit. On tribot, we have "support staff" and it's an awesome system. Sure, sometimes it needs reworked but that's exactly how it should be. They're sort of the "half-mods" around the site and they keep it running smoother than without them, so really not a reason not to have the system.

Besides, there's always someone that's willing to put in the effort given good motivation. Give some tryhard the Head U.E. slot (an innovative and responsible tryhard, eg. not deathsnova) and they'll have it up and running with good results I'm sure.

 

UE sucked. If you're genuinely dedicated to making shitty guides for the site, you'd do it whether the incentive of a rank was there or not. I never ever saw any useful guides come from UE.
