The awkward moment when IE 11 is great.

Who's been using IE 11? Still in "preview" but so far I have to say im impressed. Could this be a sign Microsoft are stepping up their game and bringing internet explorer on par with the big boys?

 

Ehh, it'll take a little more than their fudged benchmarks to convince me but it seriously needed this.

 

I haven't even looked at the benchmarks, purely on user experience I would say its faster than firefox , can't say anything for chrome because I don't use it. I have not got an image error yet so it seams they have fixed that problem. This is still the "beta" phase so there will probs still be a lot of bugs.

 

It could be the fastest browser and I still wouldn't use IE.

 

I don't think speed has ever been the issue, for me at least.

From a developers point of view I find IE (especially IE8) impossible to apply best practices to. For some unknown reason the most ridiculous methodologies seem to work, which often means implementing twice as much code for one solution.

Still, could be that now things will finally change. Heres hoping!

 

IE 10 is already quite good. I wouldn't use it over Chrome because it lacks pretty much all HTML 5 support but it's quite fast and sleek already.

 

I've been with FireFox for the last few years. I've never liked Chrome due to Google signing up to PRISM with the NSA and such. IE used to be the best (especially in the 1990s), but I'd say its had its time.

 

I remember reading one time that there was this online shop that if it detected you were buying from their site using IE you would get charge an extra fee of like $25 or some crazy shit like that, just to encourage people to stop using IE. In my eyes, they're just pretty much done already. They can try and keep improving it and whatnot but it's unlikely that they will ever be as big as Chrome or Firefox.

 

IE will always be my primary Browser due to its just the easiest option comes installed with windows, otherwise i use chrome is ie fails

 

I currently like the new IE over all other browsers but I still use Chrome because it syncs everything between all my devices.

 

I absolutely love sync.

 

I like FireFox due to it's open nature. So many great plugins and add ons that improve my browsing experience.

Ice weasel cuz it respects my freedom.

 

It's just rebranded FireFox.

 

It will always be the target of malware developers simply because it comes packaged with Windows.. you're better off using Chrome or Firefox.

 

I still like Chrome better than everything.
