Do you know the exact amount? I know it was a larger amount, but considering I thought that Karl enjoyed Sythe a lot, he'd want to pay it back if he could.

His last High Pardon wasn't very successful, in fact it was vetoed by Sythe. The pardon was posted in February however, so he is eligible to post for another one whenever he feels like it.

Viou's gonna have to pardon instead of a dispute, his last pardon was February, so he can pardon anytime.

I spoke to Karl a few days ago, he owes around £600 something to Arcus, so quite a lot. As far as I know he's still planning on coming back, he just doesn't have the money right now.

Shame, he was the person I trusted the most on the site, and I still adamantly believe he wouldn't scam a nickel regardless of the fact he's banned from sythe. Sucks that he got all the blame for what happened though when all other major gold sellers do the exact same thing.

I would assume he would be able to get a pardon if he tried again. I think we are operating on a "Don't ask, don't tell" system. If we find out you are, we'll ban you. But we aren't going to go out of our way to trap you into admitting that you are. Kinda like steam accounts.

 

Judging by his previous pardon I don't think Sythe would allow him back. FireZ didn't seem all too fond of Viou as well but he can't veto anymore (which actually surprised me since FireZ should know full well that all the major market buffs were doing the same thing during the 2011 post-free trade era)

Is this going to be considered a permanent ban? I understand that he basically did scam someone, but it's a lot unorthodox compared to most scamming bans.

True this may be an unorthodox to our usual techniques for banning people, but the evidence is pretty clear. Since he was quick to log in to another persons account and film it while dropping all of their items, I see it as grounds for ban. I don't really care how long ago this was. It will now be up to his pardon which Laptop mentioned.

An eye for an eye is definitely the mentality for most these days. If his friend hadn't backstabbed him then he wouldn't have done what he did. I doubt he possesses the knowledge to do that to a random here on Sythe (AKA him getting scammed and seeking revenge)

He definitely needs a time out, but I'm not quite sure I've seen a case like his and still on the fence of whether or not it deserves a perm ban.

 

We will leave it up to his pardon and let his actions from that determine if he should come back. So far, I am not impressed.
