Ever since MMG became CEO this game has gone downhill i love how he says half the people that play depend on RWT every single month, so we should definitely get rid of it...

also it didnt do shit honestly. people still need to pay ~ ~ 10$/2bonds for 28 days of membership, which is more then paypal and 10$ worth of rsgp is still ~ 33mish like the prices of upgrades now


also for real world trading purposes, in order for this to be effective one must find people actually interested in buying these bonds that can only be redeemed for either membership/spins/runecoins l

 

They are introducing bonds.



Bonds are something you buy off jagex.

You can then exchange bonds with players/gold sink for RSGP/RSItems. You can use a bond to also redeem RF Tickets/Spins/Rune coins/Donate it to charity. You can now also use your RSGP to upgrade your Runescape account, so players will be purchasing Bonds and exchanging them for RSGP and using the GP to upgrade their accounts. (least from my understanding, if i've made any errors list bellow).

 

This also only seems to effect EOC, unless they somehow manage to incorporate it into oldschool runescape.

That being said, if the price that the players set for bonds is considerably higher than the prices you can buy directly from a gold farmer, then I don't think business will take that big of a hit. (i.e. if the Bonds cost $5 each, but only sell for 10m in the GE, a rate of $0.50/M, but you can buy directly from gold buyers for $0.30/M, then people will still buy RSGP off gold farmers)

Bear in mind the only expense of gold farming (minus the initial down payment of auth codes) is the cost of membership.

Considering a bot that makes 250k/hour for 18 hours a day = 4.5m/day = 135m/month

Assuming membership costs $8/month, selling GP for 7 cents a mil still brings in profit. Gold merchanters won't have a hard time either since they'll just buy for considerably cheaper and sell for slightly less than bond prices in the GE.

I think its shit update for us. I hope that GP price wont go down, maybe it'll even be more profitable to merchant Gp if bonds in GE will be more expensive gold's buying price

 

My guess is 07 might drop considering everyone will move to that, but then again 07 might rise cause more people might realise how fucking shit rs3 is....

 

If anything, i hope GP will go up, they won't really be able to tell whos RWTing, and Jagex are allowing it soo more people should buy it, the price is sky high atm anyways, sucks that i gotta dump some gp

This is probably the final nail in the coffin though, obviously you can buy 07gp with it now aswell, (buy bond, swap for gp, convert gp)

 

Hm... if goldfarmers are able to sell their gp for bonds and sell bonds for $ rwt still exists.

Their idea is based on how trading works in Guildwars. If they still choose to let the free trade option open for players it's not bad at all.

Here's how I see it playing out

In the beginning there'll be a demand for them since people will want to purchase their memberships using RSGP. A large number players who've never purchased RSGP from gold sellers will now do so. Lettuce be cereal, nobody wants runecoins, and spins were already buyable so I'd say 90% of bonds will be used towards purchasing membership.

People may stock up several bonds for membership for the next 2-3 months, but eventually the supply of bonds will outweight the demand for them (since memberships are to be renewed every 14 days). The GP price of bonds will decrease and stabilize in the GE, and "buying" RSGP off Jagex will be far more expensive than purchasing off a reputable gold seller.

People will simply sell memberships for less than the price of bonds (bear in mind a lot of membership powerhouses simply use PIN lines so they get them for free anyways)

Unless Jagex releases exclusive items or XP bonuses that can be purchased with bonds, I can't see it delivering an arrow to the knee to RSGP & Membership sales if you can only purchase Membs/Runecoins/Spins with the bonds

 

Nope your estimation is logical but they are crashing, reason is everyone thinks it is good to hold off and everyone who bought them realised they are fucking shit..... a more accurate guestimation is they will crash to 1-2m then gold prices will rise, once that happens bonds will go up and gold is in for the biggest price dump of it's life.

 

At the moment it is 16m per month of membership.

Just done with some testing. It looks great tbh. You can buy a untradeable bond in GE and make it trade able for 1.5m. When selling in GE it will become untradeable again. If people wanna buy gold directly they only use this bond system if it's cheaper / safer. It will never become cheaper since there'll be a huge demand for bonds because it's simply easy to buy. Also bonds won't be used to buy memb ect. simply because it's cheaper to buy members directly (atm). If these prices stabilizes there's still 2x 1.5M per bond which will be removed while buying --> trading --> selling.

Also goldfarmers, like me, are going to offer this bonds to my customers which is and easy method to buy membs and resell it directly. 1.5M fee the games takes could be paid by my customers.

Another positive argument is that we as gold traders are getting helped, the economy will be ruined more slowly which allows us to make more profit long term, thx Jagex! Price of GP have been halved +/- ea year. After they're actively banning/wiping gold out of the game this fall of GP price has been slowed, still it's going downwards that's why they had to remove large amounts of GP out of the game somehow.

After all it's only positive for gold sellers. Big hug to them!
