The theory on why phat's will become expensive again

(bare in mind i do not know if phats are still being released, if not i take it they are discontinued and no more can be injected into the game?)

Okay so phat's have gone as low as 100k atm, however over time more and more will disappear due to people dying with them on, people quitting, accounts getting banned that have them. So supply must fall if no more are being released, however hopefully if jagex gets it right the game should continue to grow increasing demand.

So who knows maybe in 2 or 3 years old school may have 50k+ players and phats may be worth 100m+ and since they are dirt cheap at the moment you have nothing to lose on a decent investment.

Just my reason for keeping a set in the bank

 

Rares will be re-released on their respective holidays. They won't ever be rare like they are on eoc.

I remember selling all my phat sets 6.5m ea and now they are worth shit all lol

 

I think 07 will definitely still be around in 2-3 years if they continue updating it

They already polled to make rares discontinued, the players voted to make them discontinued, but they decided not to anyway. So yeah.

 

Exactly. Jagex never intended for rares to reach the prices they did in the live game, think they would make the same mistake twice?

All rares contribute towards is RWT and gambling.

I'll be happy if they just release and infinite amount of each into the game.

 

07 will still be around, probably with 20-30k members. Phats will be worthless are they're re-releasing them every year.

 

I'm sure I saw a thread stating that in runescape when "rares" first came out they said they would re-release and they never did?

 

Jagex mods have posted saying rares will be re-released during holiday seasons.

 

Perhaps that's just exactly what they want everyone to think. 'Sure, we'll keep releasing them over and over again'. So people pretty much give them no value currently. Now what if just one day they come up and say 'okay all rares will now be discontinued'. People gave them little to no importance before, so tons of the phats and rares that there were are likely to have been lost since people kept thinking 'oh i'll just get more on the next event'.

Who knows if they'll ever to something like that but i'd sure as hell love to see that happen.

I think jagex is a little unpredictable at the moment, i think they will release masks, scythe and all that then be like okay maybe we should discontinue just phat's or something among those lines

Not going to happen, believe me. They treat RS07 as a way of not making the same mistakes.

The problem is they dont want to ruin to market like rs3. This promotes the use of real life trading phats to happen whichbis illegal but iunnk inobvs. Want them to take out rares on holidays inhave 50 santas and 5 phat sets hope in 5 years I wake up and its all worth 5 thousand lmao
