GTA 5 Graphics -Opinion-

Hello today i bought GTA 5 for ps3, at gamestop.
its 720p

I started playing it and the graphics really seem to suck, like GTA 4 had better graphics in my opinion. What do you guys think?

 

Right now the graphics for GTA 4 ARE better than GTA 5. Why? GTA 4 is out for PC =]. Nothing like being able to set everything way high and going crazy. I might bring my laptop over to compare graphics with someone with GTA 5 but there's no way it looks better than this PC version =].

Unfair comparison aside, I doubt that comparing the console versions would yield the result that GTA 4 has better graphics than GTA 5, but it is possible. They probably had to tone down the graphics for the old consoles... they'll turn them up for PS4 and Mex-box, and of course for PC.

 

IM talking about ps3 not pc, and its prob not better, maby its my monitor lol, i have a pc/tv monitor, maby thats why, or idk, but its still fine.

 

Not sure what you're playing on, but it's HD for me. Very clear, crisp, and overall good graphics, just a step up from GTA IV.

 

hmm, again i think its my computer/tv screen, maby, i played on my brothers tv and it seems to be fine. I wish the game would be in 1080p

 

Actually it is, when/if it comes out for pc it'll definitely be able to be played at 1080p and ABOVE that.

 

i wasn't talking about the pc version, i was taking about gta 5 vs gta 4 for ps3, in graphics.

 

Tbh, I think GTA V is a lot better.
With GTA IV, even on PC, I always felt like there were a lot of graphical mistakes, like there was dirt all over the screen.

I use the 360

 

It's native 720P. Your console scales it to 1080P.

I can tell pretty easily its the same engine. The character models have improved by a fair bit however.

 

This. The improvement is slight overall but I don't blame them, they've probably stretched the capabilities of the ps3/360. That is maybe why they aren't going to be releasing it on next gen consoles for some time - to improve the graphics and what-not.

There is the illusion of the game's graphics looking better however since of the vistas that you bare witness too in the game and even the smallest things seemed to have received detail.

 

I was quiet surprised by the way they have changed the way the sea looks now. Much more realistic (so random) but still counts. I also think that character faces have been given better facial expressions during speech

 

The gfx for ps3 are lower than xbox 360 for gta 5. idk why
