Exaggerated simply because you said in a test or exam, not homework that you bring home which barely has, if any, effects in the outcome of your grade. 2 very different things. There is no evidence of you meaning anything close to take home assignments in OP, I suggest you edit it if you dont want anymore exaggerations. Test/exam is the misuse on your part. And id be completely against either one of them as i stated in my previous post. Homework doesnt really matter as they are insignificant when compared to exams. Cheat or not, what is the difference. If you have a job and you were assigned something you would have to do at home, you could use anything at your disposal or get it.

Of course not, technically, since it's against the rules (probably) provided.
But then again, I am also morally against cheating but am guilty of provoking such actions.

doesn't really matter, school grades really don't reflect shit unless you are one of those honor role students, i would make straight A's but due to my lack of not giving a fuck and never doing projects or homework, my grades would always be a C average even when im getting straight A's on my exams etc.

never had someone look at my test scores an say, oh damn nice, you got the job, unless you are becomin a teacher test taking/grades don't account for shit. Hell i was kicked out of highschool 3 times, got my ged then went to college, and i have yet to have someone come to me and tell me to take a test on how to do a 4g weld on a 3/8s U bevel on a peice of paper

Test scores are irrelevant when becoming a teacher Delta, same as other professions (read below).

When you graduate from college/uni, your transcripts and academic history (in uni/college) go with you. This doesn't mean employers will always look at them, it simply means if you were pegged against someone who maintained HD's through uni/college, opposed to someone maintaining passes, then the HD candidate would prevail. However, social skills, experience and a tonne of other factors play a part in acquiring a job.

In the case of college, I'd rather cheat and pass a class than fail and waste all the money I paid.

Yes. Most of the stuff you learn won't be used elsewhere in your life.

Is it okay to cheat on an Exam/Test?

    This^
There is a reason for tests,Its to check if you basically know what you're doing.
If you cheat, you will fail badly further and you cant cheat all the time. Im not saying you will but its better just to study/ect.
I cheated alot for language tests and i failed the class.

Cheating, or secretly using aids to further your position, is an evolutionary skill and quite advantageous in a non-essential respect.

Though this may be the case, cheating your way into your field of work or study is maladaptive, in that you will be worse off in terms of know-how and skill, seeing as you didn't retain any of the information that needed to be retained to get you to where you are. In such cases, you will be at the bottom of the totem of your field when it is time to apply information, and most times when fire spreads, you are not burned from top to bottom. Not only that, but as some people have already said, you could be jeopardizing the lives of others, depending on your field, by not knowing the information that is expected of you; THAT, my dear, is wrong.

Is it okay to cheat on an Exam/Test?

Oh my god you guys are all such moral fags. I am a smart person, I make a lot of money, I was very busy all throughout highschool I did not have time to do my homework I simply copied it. I did not have time to read a short story and do a test based on it, I copied. I cheated my way all through highschool not because I needed to but because there wasn't any reason not to. Same a few days away in College I took a test, I didn't have time to learn some formulas for math so I looked them up on my phone. Why do I need to memorize a formula for a match problem that I will never use in my profession instead of just looking up the formula and solving the problem.

This thread is stupid and full of moral fags IMO.

I needed a grade or something done and I get it done the rest doesn't matter to me. I can read a short story and do a test on it and get an A, I never did read some short stories and just copied them it's not a big deal.

Edit: Oh, another thing. You guys talk about having a surgeon operate on your heart who cheated his way through med school, I'm sure people have and they know exactly what you are doing at one point you are put the test.

When has anyone EVER EVER EVER had a doctor freeze up and not know what to do. Stop being such idiots and see the big picture.

Honestly I think there's a point where it catches up to that person, the doctor example is a good one since there's no way slick rick could cheat his way through med school and rotations.

Personally, I cheated a ton during high school but it bit me in the ass. Throughout college I definitely put in the effort and it paid off for the most part. I don't mind the grind now, I was a runescape junky back then and all I cared about was going home and pking

    ^^ exactly

^^ that is also part of the reason I cheated lol. Wake up 6:30, pk till school, run to the bus have him wait on me, think about pking during school watch pking videos at school. Go to the gym or soccer practice, do my space or facebook whichever at the time and pk till my mom yelled time for bed!

    This was much younger days.

I think i should get the title edited on 'thoughts on cheating/copying' as opposed to 'is cheating wrong' considering it's a redundant question

Most exams you do in school test you on shit you will NEVER need in your life. Even if you do end up needing the knowledge even conservative estimates say you forget basically 90% of the shit you learn in school. So, go ahead.

On the other hand, don't do that if you actually need to know the stuff for your future job (engineer, doctor, lawyer) you'll be fucking yourself up

I agree. A test is there to, well, test YOUR knowledge. If you were stupid and did not prepare for such test, it is wrong for you to copy off of someone who did study for it possibly tons of hours, just so you get the same grade as them with no effort at all.

Exactly. A friend of mine used to pretty much always cheat on our Cisco tests, and sure she did well on the tests and passed the course. But on a job interview they had her do a small test about some general computing things and whatnot, and well guess how did she do.

Just don't be ignorant fucks and learn. Knowledge is power.

Is it okay to cheat on an Exam/Test?

I think sometimes people who cheat are smarter than people who do the test legit. In some schools it's really easy to cheat because some of the teachers are idiots, and other schools it's the exact opposite. When you cheat your finding a way around something, which a lot of the time requires intelligence, even though cheating isn't right, if you can pull it off successfully in most situations you're probably smarter than half the class already. It didn't bother me to cheat on anything, but I rarely cheated. Maybe a couple times every year or less, my teachers were really strict so it was way to hard. It's just a piece of paper you have to do to get a grade, why would you want your grade to suffer just because you forgot to study. In the short-term cheating would be good but in the long run it won't help you with anything at all. If someone cheated and got all A's every year and then got accepted to Harvard they wouldn't anything to do. You have to look at the long run and how it affects you. I think cheating once in awhile is fine but doing it a lot is really stupid and proves that the person doing it is stupid and lazy.

Is it okay to cheat on an Exam/Test?

In my opinion over this topic I regard cheating as wrong, taking shortcuts in life will generally get you nowhere as at some point in time you may actlly need that material. I
condone hard work and self improvement. I won't go into the point I believe it is morally wrong as I am preferring to stay on topic and put out facts. It is far more beneficial to just learn the material.

Is it okay to cheat on an Exam/Test?

Cheating really depends on the circumstances, I was maintaining an A - A- average in organic chemistry the whole semester but the teacher decided to throw a curveball on the final exam, something that was in the textbook but he never went over in class. I had no choice but to pull out my phone and google the answer otherwise I would lose the mark that I had worked for. Really is situational
