I prefer pre -eoc, but their concept made a little sence. it just wasn't well thought out.

 

Ihave no intress at all playing rs3... rs07 is rs rs3 is just a new game.. they should have namedit something else thn rs if you ask me!
And that mod is right all the way.

I'm sorry but how would they increase profit by making OSRS F2P available?

 

Attracting more players, I'd guess. People get hooked on the old RuneScape and want to subscribe afterwards

 

Yep, I think alot of old school players that used to play runescape before they removed Wildy etc. Dont know about 2007scape and have forgot about runescape as a whole. A big portion of the playerbase was actually f2p.

Jagex needs to remove rs3, make the 2007 version of Runescape the "Main game" And start to work from there.

What Jagex has done with their updates has been really trying to make the game bigger and better, which was what destroyed the experience for me as a player, if they start trying to be innovative and with the updates, not trying to get the game bigger and better.

Note that with 'Better' I dont mean what the playerbase think is better, but what Jagex thinks is better. Two whole different things

 

They will lose more players by removing eoc.

The damage is already done.

 

Removing RS3 would make a massive difference. Imagine for a start how much all the gamblers/goldsellers would lose, as well as hours of stat gains. Not only this, but half of the RS playerbase is still on RS3. The only thing I can see coming from this is more people quitting and RS making even less profit, as the only reason half the people pay anymore for OSRS is because they have to, as otherwise it'd just be full of f2p pkers.

 

if rs reverted back to 07, id quit. Way better to just play a private server than play a game thats 6 years old

 

I think recovering pre-eoc version of game would eventually save it assuming they would delete all profit whoring shit such as SoF and salomon store
