Forget the troll, RID is the cream of the crop, not only for their bots but there playerbase and staff, you guys keep doing what your doing and thank you for that report on the recent bot bust, I have been staying away from 138 because the crowds seemed to be a magnet for Jagex mods

 

Here is RiD's recent post on the matter:

Like I've said in the past, RiD will take down any bot he feels is not currently safe. Divination beta will no longer be available. The beta shall be completed privately. When it is deemed safe it will be released as a premium bot.

There are many things RiD is planning to ensure something like this doesn't happen again. Expect great things to come soon.

How come I can still use the bot as of right now Trent?

Either RiD has not taken it down just yet, or you're running off the old version. If the second is true then you will not be able to access the bot again after the next update.

 

I've received a temporary 2 day ban also.

You can't claim that no-one has been banned using RiD no more....

 

They never said that you couldn't be banned with it. I think JMods just got smart after a bit of work on their end. A lot of innocent players were busted too.

 

They have said no-one has been banned whilst staying within their botting guidelines.

 

My main account got a 48 ban this morning, havent botted since they took down Ridivination from the list, Im gonna bot till ban because I dont have time to level to max and I am so close. I wonder if the ban counts toward your 3 strike limit because I have 24hr minor macro offence on the account already.

 

All bots from RiD have been taken down until he can re-establish the standards that should be expected from RiD bots. Here is his statement on the matter. I will be posting this in a few threads. Bots will return when they are ready.

I think it's the graphic settings we use, surely Jagex can see everyone who uses the exact settings required for RiD and that could identify you as a bot? Because I doubt many legit players play the game with the settings the bot requires.

There is a difference between saying no one HAS been banned and saying no one CAN be banned. It has never been said that it is impossible to be banned using RiD. It has however been said repeatedly that it has yet to happen. That "yet" occurred recently with the Divination bans. A statement is still valid while it remains true, therefore my past statements were still true. I have not said any statement near this one since the bans occurred.

RiD will be safe to use again once RiD re-releases them.

 

This is what I've always thought. It would be so simple to narrow down who is botting based on graphic settings alone. Lets be honest, almost no one plays Runescape legit on the lowest possible graphic settings.

 

I doubt it's that. Simba also requires specific graphic settings and has way more users than RiD. It was just JMods using whatever 'powers' they have at their disposal to pick out and ban suspected bots. It might be one small factor, but just because someone uses a certain graphics settings is hardly enough information to draw a conclusion for botting.

 

Any info on when RID will be back Trent?

 

RiD released a sneak preview of what is to come to the Hero members. I can't go into details, but it will be a few weeks before it is ready.
