Canada & United States

stumbled upon this video, which my teacher once showed us in class. and i have to say it makes me so proud to be a Canadian but also makes me feel much love for our brothers in the States. No two countries have ever been as close as the united states and CAD.

If you live in CAD what are you thoughts about the US.
And if you live in the US what are your thoughts on CAD.

WE were there for you in 9/11 to help the Americans with anything they needed.
WE were there in afghanistan beside you to fight alongside you.
WE were there on D-DAY and WW2 fighting along side you, we even entered the war before you guys!

 

I'm from the states and I love Canada. I would move there if they had more job opportunity and stability for my profession.

It fascinates me how similar the two countries are.

 

The difference is we are not against gays, free health care, and we don;t have shootings every week

 

I think the love-hate relationship Australia has with New Zealand would give you guys a run for your money

 

The US is slowly becoming less against gays. Gay marriage now allowed in WA state. Free health care? Enjoy your waiting lists . Finally, I'm sure that there are shootings every week in Canada. Gg?

John not really lol... we barely have shootings cause guns are not easy to get like in the states and when you do want to get one we have to pay like 5 times the price you guys do :/. and tbh in canada theres really no need for guns not crazy shit happening like in the states ,

Canada actually has one of the top like 15 gun ownership rates in the world. Also late to the party again, weed is already legal in WA. Gg again?

 

I've heard from a lot of people that Canadians are overall, nicer individuals.

 

Of course there are shootings, however they're hardly common at all. The murder capital of Canada last year per capita was seven murders out of a town of about 71,000 people. Compare that to the murder capital of USA, Flint, Michigan, which had 66 murders out of 101,000 people.

And would you rather work more hours per week to afford health care or spend a couple hours in an ER during the freak time you do have to go to the hospital? Besides, I went to the ER when I broke my arm, waited about an hour. Most of the time when you hear that someone had to wait 10 hours for treatment or someshit are freak horror stories.

Green Party won what, one seat in the House of Commons for the first time ever? The Green Party are a bunch of radical leftist idiots.

Concealed Carry licenses are handed out in extreme scarcity in Canada, compared to the United States. Most guns owned by Canadians are rifles used for hunting.

'Less' against gays? Bravo... less isn't enough, people take their own lives in America due to the criticism they'd have the suffer in the states. The UK is the same and I hate it, people should be free to be who they truly want to be. It shouldn't be influenced by governments and media.

We have a free health care service in the UK called the NHS, when I got to the Hospital injured I am tended to in 1-2 hours. This is great due to the fact it is entirely free, taxes may be the slightest higher, but it stops there. So, go ahead Mr. Impatient, spend your university fees on a broken leg, then moan about waiting times.

Thirdly, people openly use fire-arms in the US daily, and it's allowed. Complete ludicrous if you ask me, license or not.
P.S if I was in the States, I'd personally rather swim to Canada than live there. Although California is beautiful...

 

Yeah people actually walk around with guns in the us that does not happen in canada at all lol, Canada ftw (Y) we are even taking gays from russia who are under attack, canada has actually opened its arms to allow them into our country.

 

I always think of the U.S as the aggressive/protective older brother of Canada

 

I think of it more like we are the older wise brother always shrugging our heads towards the us just saying " you know that's not the best decision to make"

 

I wouldn't say aggressive, but definitely protective. It almost reminds me of the partnership between Austria-Hungary and Germany. Germany always had their backs when they got their ass in shit during the period running up to WW II. Warfare however is a lot less likely in these modern ages due to nuclear weapons being such a huge factor. We have enough weaponry to completely wipe out the whole population of Earth which is scary. For all countries.

3. You are completely ludicrous if you ask me. People should be allowed to use firearms if they have a license. Why swim to Canada? Walk ? Yes, California is beautiful, but not as beautiful as Washington.

Canada is better in many aspects. I never said the US is better, I'm simply pointing out some facts.
