What style of art do you find most interesting?

Hello fellow Sythe artists, there's tons of different styles of art all around the world. I was wondering what style; or type of art do you find the most interesting? For example pottery, painting, sculpting, typography, photography.

Feel free to expand on the type of style you find most interesting and provide examples if you can

I'll start things off by saying that Digital Painting is my favorite style of art. I enjoy this style because it's like painting but without the dirty work. You still have to be talented at drawing, which I'm horrible at but I find painting digitally far more interesting in regards to the normal paint brush and paint method.

You bet me to it! I absolutely love digi-painting as well. These make up majority of my favorite wallpapers. Will edit in some examples later today.

 

i mostly like hand type/calligraffiti, logos, illustrations, and any thaing that makes me say holy shit, like most digital paintings.

 

Yeah a lot of them have that "wow" factor. It really inspires me to take up digital painting. I've tried in the past but I need to get more of a grasp on drawing, hoping to get better

 

yeah my class did a bit of digitial painting. the trick it to find the sweet spot between the flow and opacity. and the more times you pick your color the better off you are.

Wow his attention to detail is quite phenomenal; they way he uses those colors really makes his logos "pop". I really like this piece by him, his line work is crazy.

Obey (Shepard Fairey) makes some crazy cool pieces, I really enjoy that style. Which one of his works is your favorite?

 

yeah shepard fairey is a beast. a good movie to watch is exit thru the gift shop its more about banksy but he is in it too. also graffiti wars is grate.

its about robbo and banksey. banksey painted over the oldest piece in london which is robbos. an it kinda talks about them an the life of a graffiti artist.
its grate if you like graffiti. i watched it about 10 time lol

 

Abstract art & minimal pattern designs really appeal to me. I know they're complete contrasts of each other lol. Examples:
