I wonder how it would be being born in 2400 or 2200.. I mean I was born in 1994 and to be honest the prospect of having more advances in everything would be cool..

What are your thoughts on this? Would you rather be born now or later in the year 2200?

Historically, the present time period is the most comfortably livable in history. With the exception of the dark ages, society as a whole progresses to be better and better as time goes on. However, I'm sure there will be an apex sometime in the near future similar to a second dark age (e.g., a nuclear war, worldwide economic crash, etc) So it would be hard to pick a time in the future and peg it down to be better.

No thank you. Humanity probably won't even last 100 more years due to over population and the rate at which global warming is increasing.

Sad part about this is I highly doubt there will be an inhabitable world within the next 200 years. Within 200 years a nuclear war will for sure wipe out humanity or some sort of disaster so to answer your question, I'm happy living in the time period I am..

I would be interested living in the future assuming it wasn't a crisis time like war or running out of resources.

My teenager dreams were always to be a 1980's kid...Man, imagine, amazing Rock songs was everything there was...

Sorry for going really Off-topic, but, if you'd ask me when I'd rather be born, I'd totally go for 1960-1980 (somewhere around that)

The world will probably be full of pollution, drastic weather changes, and corrupt government. I would never want to live in the future. I am perfectly content living the way I am.

The next generation will be lazy af. At the rate technology is going in you won't have to even lift a finger. Which means everyone is overweight and earth will tilt over leaving its orbit and smash into a meteor. I know, dat imagination.

You just never know, do you? A revolution could happen in China in five years. A massive civil war could break out and lead a nationalist military government to power. They could invade Japan, Korea, and India. The US would have to respond but numerous South American countries could team up with China. Maybe the US does something in two years, like assassinating Assad that pisses Russia off enough to make them want to break the US hold on the world. They invade Germany to force the US to break up its forces. Suddenly we are in WWIII and millions will be left dead and a new world order will emerge.

Lesson learned: You never know what's going to happen.

    I was born in 1994.
I wish I had been born maybe 5 years earlier so that as the financial crash of 08 was unraveling I could have better understood it. I'm only now at the time in my education where I can look back and understand what really happened and why.

I think that being born today would be nice. You whipper snappers... back in my day we had dial-up and then DSL and broadband... but you fiber optic kiddos wouldn't know that, would you? Sure, we got to live through some of the great advancements in history (hey, Internet)... but I hate looking back and thinking about how much was paid for technology in the past.

Also, there are limits to how small we can make things. When all that is separating connections are a thin layer of 3 atoms on a board... yikes. Gotta move on from our abundant silicon... but then what... then there's gasoline... ethanol seems like it might be helpful, I haven't looked into it, but corn is subsidized like heck so why not?

I have no idea what I just typed. Pressing submit.

NO! I'm happy being in the current time frame I am! I'm sure some where along the tracks NASA will find a way to destroy man kind and doom all that exists. We currently don't have that much knowledge of anything to far fetched at the present. so I'm good :D

Would hate be to around the times we encounter 'aliens'. I feel safe to a certain extend currently :D

Ehh over population will take more than 100 years. Considering that our antibiotics will soon be obsolete. Hell, if anything we will all die from a mass disease.

Anyways, I would go BACK for maybe a few days, just to see what certain times looked like. Fuck going forward, for all you know you might not exist in 2014.

I was "at the age where I could understand it" (I was 18 at the time), and trust me, it wasn't anything special. If anything, you're better off being a few years behind because by the time you exit college, the market will (plausibly) be back to normal and you won't have the troubles that most people in their twenties are having.
