After Land 2013 Movie Finally Came Out

This festival is still on my list, maybe next year. Looks intense! Only done glasto so far.

Also went to EDC Chicago, EDC Vegas, Ultra, Burning man (last year), Nocturnal Wonderland, and Escape from Wonderland

It's alright, it's not like other festivals.

Don't get me wrong, one of the biggest festivals in the world, of course it's amazing. However, there are a lot of people there that are only there because their family has money and they want to have the ability to boast about going. They're not there for the experience and future relationships.

I can not tell you how much money I have spent on travel because of the friendships I've made over the years attending festivals. Hotel rooms paid for or shared with people I've met from pervious festivals, staying at their house instead of renting a hotel, paying for my food, etc. The experience you get at a smaller festival (edc, ultra, burning man) completely outweighs the experience of tomorrowland.

I can completely break it down if you'd like but for the most part, the best relationships are found at smaller festivals.

 

Boxur i get what you mean brah like for real yeah i thought that last year after seeing 2012 one how rich these people must be and stuff and burning man looks awesome!

 

One of the things I liked about Glastonbury was that, the people attending WANTED to be there. That is, the tickets sold out in under 4 hours.

Apart from the freebies and VIPs, the people were amazing and everyone got on well with everyone else, really good community feeling

 

Burning man is the complete opposite of everything, it's the most unique experience you'll ever have.

The whole experience is weird, it took me a few days to familiarize and make myself completely comfortable with the entire situation.

First, it's out in the middle of the desert where really no rules apply. Essentially, they don't need rules because everyone there came to only have a good time. The entire time you're there people are trying to give you drugs (if that's your thing, it's not mine) alcohol (my thing) and love (literally, sex). I can't explain the amount of times I was asked to attend an orgy, quite intimidating.

Aside from that part of it, the fact you're out in the middle of the nowhere with random strangers you've never imagined meeting before is quite the experience alone. There's events happening every minute you're there. Literally, burning structures that people build, all sorts of art, music, everything imaginable.

You're essentially living out in the trail days. You're shitting in holes, not showering (unless you bring wet wipes), eating out of cans, etc. It's quite the enjoyable yet eyeopening experience.
