where were you on 9/11

i was at home about to leave for school when i saw the news.........

 

I was in the third or fourth grade, can't remember. Sitting in class and the teacher told us. They may or may not have let us out early, can't remember that either.

 

I was at school when it happened, but I did not hear about it until I got home. (UK) I remember relentlessly watching the news and was fixated on it.

We flew out to Florida on the 16th for a two week vacation.. Was quite an unnerving experience.

 

Was in the 3rd grade. I remember my parents waking me up and we just sat in the living room in silence. They wouldn't let me go to school that day.

 

I was in school in my homeroom class. My school had tv's in every room ill never forget the old school brown and grey tv that was smaller then a microwave. I was in my favorite teachers class. She was my homeroom/ language arts teacher. When it happend they turned the tvs on the news and we all sat in pure silence gazing at the destruction. That day i knew when i was of age id enlist in the military. When i turned 17 i did just that.

In school, like most of you folks. I was in Year 5, just started.

 

No clue. Probably home fapping.

Home watching it as it happened... One of the strangest feeling days of my life.

 

In like 3rd or 4th grade sitting in class. The teachers didn't exactly tell us but we knew something was up because all teachers were kind of acting weird. I'm from Canada though so getting a day off would be unreasonable for something that happened in the US.

 

Walking to school. When I arrived another kid told me about it. Then another. Then another. until Id heard the same story about a dozen times before 10am.

 

I remember people being checked out of school by intercom and wondered why everyone was getting out early. My mom came by and hurried me inside our house.

 

I believe I was at home when the alert thing came on the tv.

 

I was in 4th/5th grade at primary school, having lived in New Zealand, we didn't hear the news until the following day; our teacher explained to us what had happened and showed us the News Paper reports.

 

I was 5, so I was in year 2.
I actually have no idea.. To be fairly honest I only knew that "9/11" existed a few years ago, that's how blind I was to the news.

 

I was in my school's library and their like the towers just went down.

 

mh i was 9, was at home, school was over i think (different time zone), also saw it in the news on the 9th and i really was like wtf, what happened

 

All I remember is being in third grade and each of us were given these half page pieces of paper that the teachers had printed out. I can't remember what they said but I do recall we went to the computer lab and didn't do much of anything all day. I also believe that the Sunday before it was my brothers birthday (I know it was and I'm 90% sure it was the right year). 9/11 was on a tuesday, by the way. He was going to go do some fun stuff with two of his friends. One didn't show up. My mom couldn't get them on the phone and we didn't hear anything from them so we changed plans and did something else for his birthday. We learned later that his dad (who was in the military) was shot in the head twice during some training accident. He lived and was in a wheelchair for awhile (no idea whats going on with him now, which is a shame) but he basically got out of deploying by getting shot in the head. I'm not sure if that's a good thing or not.

 

I Think I was just back in from Secondary school when I turned on the TV and saw the news
