That's not to say Jagex won't do what they usually do, and make rash decisions making these "rares" rare again..

Rares such as the party hat became their current state because it's what the free market mechanism did to them (No supply and demand increases over time).

I can only think that Jagex must have a long term strategy to Oldschool Runescape and they want the economy to take it's natural cause with all the new items they introduce. When Party Hats were originally released they were pretty much worthless, and they are in their current state too. I don't know if Oldschool Runescape will even last that long but can just guess that Jagex want it to happen over time.

On the other hand, if Jagex introduce the same items every single holiday event, then that truly is a cockup, as there is A) No constant new content, and B) The natural market is being intervened with more supply, so obviously the price will stay low, which is a stupid idea so we can only hope that Jagex has enough brain cells in their offices to work that out.

everyone get free rares at each respective events ... you guys must be stupid(no offense) thinking they'll ever worth something , they wont be worth anything else except for the first day they came out people who really wanted them right now

 

Exactly these people are idiots. Seriously everyone, let it go. They don't want them rare this time, and they are never changing their mind. It sucks if you may have lost money, and continue to lose more because of your stupidity, but oh well.

 

Vote against the halloween event and then halloween masks will stay rare, same with every other tradable rare

If jagex actually said that they will release them every year, everyone will be thinking more will come, so they'll have been dumped. However, it could all be one massive troll and some kid who got stuck with 200 phats could become very rich.

 

atm im hanging onto 5 phat sets 10 santas 5 pumpkins and 2 crackers im gonna keep buying em at a cheap rate that people just wan tot get rid off I still believe its gonna skyrocket one day I don't care when that day is but it will come either 1-2-3 years from now like rs2 did and look at them now worth 900$ a piece its crazy but u know wut .. for 10m its worth the investment. take the risk buy now while theyre low prices eventually theyre gonna start disappearing and get rare and more rare

 

I have a feeling they will rise sooner or later.
