8 hours bump rule

8 hour is a very long time, I wanted to suggest if it could be decreased to like 6 hours. I don't know what others opinion on this is so maybe it can be discussed here.

I think 8 is a decent amount of time. Allows 2 bumps/day normally as 16 hours awake is about standard.

EDIT: However Sythe activity has fallen slightly in comparison to when RS was at it's peak and black market trading was very common, therefore I still wouldn't oppose a 6 hour bump rule as there are fewer and fewer new threads (Especially in RS markets), and this might help accounts get sold easier and activity to pick up slightly.

 

I like the 8 hour rule myself. You can bump three times a day which is still feel is excessive but it is better than 24 hours.

 

I think the 8 hour limit is fine to be honest, especially in some sections.

 

yeah 2 bumps a day is ideal but not everyone is going to stay awake for 16 hours a day

 

There's nothing wrong with the 8 hour rule, cuts back on spamming.

 

maybe for some section we could have another bump time, i mean 8 hour on runescape is kind of long and other sections such as world of warcraft which has way less amount of activity has also 8 hour bump, in my opnion runescape could use a 6hr bump. i support

 

Let's not complicate a perfectly reasonable system. 8 hours was long debated and then decided upon. It's fine.

 

Total disagreement. If anything, why not 12 hours? I was a fan of the 24 hour bump rule, but I can't see that coming back.

There is really no need for bumping more often.

 

I don't see what shortening the time by 2 hours will do. Those that are active within the market will find it easier to operate like myself. 6 hour bump rule in the market section will be better.

 

people already have a problem following 8 hour bumps, idk how many times this week ive reported it.... will just make it even more harder for people to comprehend

I think 8 is fine,

who says you have to stay awake 16 hours a day?

some people bump before they go to work/school, (8-12 hours) when they get home they're able to bump again
