Great idea to sticky the thread! I would also like to add that if the account was verified by a staff member then message the verifier to see what other information they have of the account (username, email, etc) if any. :idea:

 

That would be grand. In future, message me if you come across any accounts being used to scam, and i'll add them to the list (with valid proof). Thanks!

Can you ask stringcheese if he scammed me? He knows that I got scammed on that 4 digit and I don't Think I got any proof. Because he recovered the account after one week after the purchase.

 

I appreciate the work you did for getting this thread set up. Although, I think there are alot of stuff missing there.

First of all, here is a way to identify a scammer on Steam:

Simply put his Steam ID 32/64/whatever and if it shows up a red cross, it means the account associated is scamming. Even if the user had no deals here on sythe, you can simply know for a fact that, he scammed before using that steam account.

Second of all, why not use ID64 instead? Theres no point in organizing the accounts by digits.

For example, heres my ID64 -76561198018325053

Finally 3rd, you should advise members to write a scam report here AND on Steamrep. If you do it also on SteamRep, you will get that steam account marked as a scammer, which will avoid many problems in the future.

 

The problem with that is many scams go unreported on SteamRep which is why this thread was created.

Because SteamID's are a more common identifier then ID64. SteamID's can be converted into ID64 format if need be.

I agree with your suggestion.

this guy is old scammer of allsteam ! he had also 2 digits if u need more proof.
