New content in 07RS!

So today the first major new content exclusive to OS RuneScape has been released, in the form of the Nightmare Zone.

(Plus a minor PID update again)

Anyone got any experiences of it so far? Personally I'm on my phone right now so can't try it out, but intend to when I can.

Potions can definitely only be used in the minigame? I was concerned about that, but at least that haven't fucked up by bringing in overloads to the main game.

I wonder how long before someone finds a glitch and gets overloads out.

 

Did you expect it to be very rewarding lol? Can you imagine the outrage if they made typically hard to obtain items available so easily?

but in order for a mini game to not have dead content there nust be decent rewards.

you can take example of these in minigames like, Pest control. It takes around 10 hours for a void set which is extremely useful and lots of people use it.

another example can be stealing creation. the hammers/needles are useful due to double exp thus not being dead content.

if there is no decent reward then nobody will play it and it will be yet another useless update

 

Void is acceptable and makes sense, but there's no way in hell anyone want want anything like SC. SC makes the game way too easy, which is the fun in 07, working for shit. Killing a nooby boss for good rewards would make no sense. Play EoC if you want things to be easy and rewarding.

 

I agree its something new that is bullshit again as usually but its going to be good for few weeks or days and that's it no ones ever going back there.

second of all 07 is fun because it's hard right?
most accounts are all botted so that argument is irrelevant.

 

Mod Mat K has said on his zybez discussion thread that they'd consider changing the rewards system based on feedback from the community, so it is still possible that the rewards will get a rework and be more useful..

..but then again, this is Jagex, so it's also possible the rewards will get a rework and be 100% more useless than before.

Just because SOME people are lazy doesn't mean all of them are. I've personally gotten 85 slayer, almost maxed main (attack/strength/def/hp), and a maxed berserker pure since 07 came out. I have multiple friends with 99's such as herblore and prayer, even one friend who was rank 1 defence for a long time and top 10 overall. None of them botted.

My argument stands as I said before, even though EoC is incredibly easy there are still bots on there as well. Your argument about bots is irrelevant.

go try bot on eoc and watch yourself get banned within a day. most goldfarming bots went from eoc to 07 due to the high demand of 07gp and you know it.

also not "SOME" account are botted LOL. "thousands" isn't "SOME"

 

I do not bot, so I won't bother.

I'm not trying to say it's just a handful of people botting, I'm merely trying to say that it's not everyone. At the end of the day, if you want things to be easy and rewarding, go play EoC, or bot on 07 if you're lazy as fuck. Of course Bots came to 2007 for the demand for 07 gold, but it's not like people never botted in EoC. Even Pre-EoC things were so fucking simple that the game was dumb. If you want things like SC in 07, I doubt that will happen.

For a minigame to be played, and not be dead content there must be;
-good rewards.

minigames that have -good rewards are not dead content.


minigames that are trash will be dead content.
this dominion shit is going to be dead content in 1-2 weeks.


you still don't get the point that stealing creation was an example. feel free to switch it with pest control as an example.

 

Rewards are a little naff

 

Is anyone enjoying it? Think it's doesn't look too exciting.

 

Guys if all you want out of the mini-game is rewards then you're not enjoying it, obviously. The mini-game is there to be enjoyed and obviously isn't very rewarding. I know... let's listen to dumb asses and let them get overloads and whatever else in a matter of weeks. It's like anything you do in RuneScape isn't enjoyable and people don't try to enjoy it and they just do everything for rewards, and in the end it all boils down to a shit tonne of your life wasted and a bitter taste in your mouth when you realize you've wasted your youth. Try and enjoy the god damn game.
