    Eyesight?

I seem to be losing my eyesight, especially reading things that are somewhat far away. I can see things up close, e.g. my computer screen and phone, however my TV is only 15 feet in front of me and it seems pretty blurry. White text on dark backgrounds is especially difficult.

Any idea as to how to fix my eyesight barring laser eye surgery?

Do you currently wear glasses or contacts?

    Eyesight?

The unfortunate thing about eyesight is without medically altering it, eyes take their own course (usually downhill) which rapidly deteriorates. Sure, there are lots of eye strengthening techniques but the science behind them actually working are extremely slim.

Some medically researched habbits you could change to increase vision levels:

    Quit smoking
Eat foods such as: Leafy greens, omega-3 fatty acids, citrus fruits and juices, things like bananas, beans and nuts and-or a vitamin supplement that contains all of the above.

You are nearsighted. If I were you, I'd schedule an appointment with a local optometrist ASAP before your eyes worsen.

You're most likely short-sighted from what you've explained. It's generally hereditary, or can be an affect of your surroundings. I.E, watching too much TV/sitting too close to a screen, etc.

Just go to your local optometrist and get it checked out.

I have the same problem, I was told it was because of the computer, could be your problem as well.

Just book an appointment with your optometrist and they'll set you up with glasses ASAP, it's free in Australia not sure where you are though.

    Eyesight?

having glasses or contacts won't change the rate your eyes worsen as far as I know.

Eyesight is also mostly genetical the way I experienced it. I know people who are sitting behind computer/tvscreens for much longer than me and they have better eyesight than i have.

There aint much you can do besides getting glasses/contacts/laser. Probably in time more techniques will be developed which can help your eyes against deteriorating

    Eyesight?

I suppose it is my genetics catching up with me. Both of my parents my uncle, cousin, and all four of my grandparents wear glasses. My sister is practically blind. That really sucks since I have never had vision problems my whole life.

Yes it does, i just started wearing glasses because of the same problem as you listed. I had 20/20 vision until about 2 years ago.

You need glasses I have the same problem as you its because your on the computer pretty much the whole day and it effects your eye sight so much until my doctor told me so I suggest you get glasses man and start to wear them to improve your eye sight again.

My dad's always been farsighted but not too badly; he suddenly has to wear much stronger glasses constantly just to be able to see normally within a few feet. I agree that it sounds like genetics catching up to you; sorry to hear it.

Do you where glasses? And, at some point, everyone's eyesight gets worse as you age.
