Thank you, if you're just getting started I'd advise reading quite a few magazines and articles about how camera's work and what settings are best in certain lights, then reading up on your camera ^.^

Thank you again, I'd like to see some of yours on this thread soon ;)

Ah Tripods are a must for those long exposures, I like them though, what do you enjoy taking pictures of? I always find if you find something you like you usually start getting an eye for different things.

My Dad recently bought one of those, it's a great little camera, I used it a bit while on holiday recently, I have a Nikon D60, it's not the newest or best body but it does what I need at the moment, however I am going to invest a lot more money into it soon to buy a much better body with a better sensor.

If you want to do shots with lighting in dark places, you need a tripod for sure otherwise the images will come out blurry, it's also good to get to know your camera and lens as certain lenses are good for certain things too.

Holy fuck, learn to resize for all of our sake, please.
I was about to critique, but this is just way too much to handle...

rule #3 of photography is to create proper staging of your imagery. you should be resizing and sharpening this shit specifically for 800x600 viewing. You lose major points for not doing that. Blaming the forum software is just idiotic.
