Rule Reform: Account Sharing

My thoughts
People who want to share an account with their siblings/partners should be allowed to do so if they live in the same house. This doesn't affect me in any way, however it does affect people like DivicaSales, whom used to be very active until they were banned for account sharing. I think if we have the following stipulations occur, there shouldn't be a reason why this shouldn't be implemented, however like always i'm making a suggestion and feel free to share your opinion ​

Just make two accounts... it makes life easier.

 

Going to petition to get that mudkip removed It's actually more convenient considering Divica where literally sitting next to one another, it's just hard to monitor if they are or are not, and i don't see why if they go through the process mentioned above they would be put in a position where they would need to lie. Just a fun feature to have.

and then comes the time they get banned, and try to pardon.. "Oh but it wasn't me it was my girlfriend, I didn't do anything wrong, unban me"

Make 2 accounts, it's simple and this suggestion is pointless.

This means any rule breaking, any repayments required all parties who are registered to that account are responsible. So 'my girlfriend scammed' a response would be if a ban dispute 'you are responsible for the account you are registered to' and if a appeal ' you are required to repay those scammed before you are to return and you will be judged by wether or not you are deemed a threat to return...

 

No support. Divica is still extremely active and but now has two accounts. Nothing wrong with just making two accounts lol.

I'm not sure I can support this, seems like a lot of effort for no big deal. It's easy enough for people sharing a house to make a new account (as, like all your examples, Divica has).

There also aren't that many cases when this would be useful. Plus, how are you going to enforce the rules regarding no flat-mates and stuff like that? If people live together it would be easy enough for them to say they were partners and share an account, if they wanted to. And as far as multiple people (more than two), that seems like it would get complicated.

But I dunno, that's just my $0.02.

Awesome input, look i can see your point and i don't disagree but i think realistically if they were to use the same computer at any point who would really know? All they have to do is deny it, therefore instead of put them in a position were they would have to lie why not keep them honest and allow a feature that brings no real negative output. Although this can be solved with just using two accounts, i think it would just be better as a whole giving more activity within sub sections of the forums etc.

 

I can certainly see where you're coming from, I just personally see it as unnecessary. Plus, I feel like (especially in the market) you should have the right to know without a shadow of a doubt who you're dealing with. It's probably an over-reaction, but I think with more than one person on an account it's risky (even though you have pointed out that all users must accept full responsibility for others, which is fair enough).

Hassle which isn't necessary - having a separate account is hardly an issue

 

I support the point you're trying to get across, but if it becomes so habitual and such a big deal - it takes 2 minutes to create an account. Too much of a hassle. If they're making a business together the more trusted one can always say "I will take responsibility if so and so scams".

Regardless who is or isn't the most trusted party they will both have to take responsibility equally. However I see people thinking this would be allot of effort which I don't see how that's possible just two stickies (which Ive pretty much covered) and an approved section, I don't even think this will be a very busy section so it's not going to be hard to maintain, but appreciate the input

 

The only people I know who have shared an account and are active currently are Divica - don't see how this warrants a whole new system

I could understand if there were an abundance of people desperate to have a shared account but.. we don't.
