North America's road to winning world

Drew up a quick image to show which teams we can send and a little explanation of how it works.

    Team Records in summer split
    [IMG]

Top KDA record in summer split
    [IMG]

C9 holds records in best win rate for team ever and Meteos holds record for highest KDA (only person in double digits)

TSM has always been incredibly dominant until the S3 summer split (They did however win spring)

    Spring split
    [IMG]

No surprise here top 4 teams are just the old school NA top teams.

But when summer came along Vulcan really came around in summer they beat crowd favorite TSM and won 2 games out of 4 vs Cloud 9

They were one of 2 teams to beat c9, CLG being the other team who won 1 out of 4 vs C9.

America looks really strong this year but lets not forget those who make eSports great.

In the last Spring split TSM was facing relegation if they didn't do something. Chaox was not performing and skipping practice they decided to bring in sub and ex-cloud9 member WildTurtle

    http://na.lolesports.com/season3/split1/players/wildturtle

After recruiting WildTurtle they went 12-2 and amazingly against the odds pulled into first place while Curse having issues with their supports (now kicked and recruited Edward from EU) ended up in second after dominating early.

TSM always brings it when we need them. In season 2 Azubu frost cheated against TSM it was not known at the time and were later fined I think it was 50,000 usd but the damage was done they cheated vs TSM and ended up coming in second.

TSM is one of our greatest shots at world we really need them to beat CLG.

    Notable players

Reginald - This player is one of the best players he was most known for his victory in the 2011 world cyber games when he played on Chicks Dig Elo.

    http://lol.gamepedia.com/Chicks_Dig_Elo

Meteos - The jungler who just never dies he is always in the right spot and just seems to dominate even over STVicious. He is most known for his best KDA (only player to reach double digits).

Xpecial - He is known as the best support in the west and most would agree he can give madlife a run for his money

    Great example of his plays

Lemonation/Sneaky - Lemon is the brains behind C9 many believe he will lead C9 to victory in worlds. Not much to say other then he is known for training the best ADC's (WildTurtle & now Sneaky) and the Ashe Zyra botlane comp works amazing Sneaky is 11-0 on Ashe in the botlane.

Hai - Leader of C9 he gives Reginald a run for his money in mid lane and he lets his ego down to accept some players are just better and sometimes you need to follow their strats and implement them in your own to win.

BTW C9 uses American tactics not korean meta. They use TSM's old early aggressive objective control, STvicious carry jungling strats, they play a more utility style carry (Ashe) and work for global gold advantages rather then the old CLG strat of all gold to doubelift. They are the best America has to offer make us proud C9.

Really interesting read... I never follow the sport itself, but I did watch one game and it was pretty good... this C9 team seems beast from what I see here!

Makes me want to watch one of their games =p, perhaps when they get to the serious stuff (non-American) =].

They just made it into LCS this summer but once they made it in they dominated every team.

If you wanna see what C9 is about these 2 games really show their ability to come back and dominate top teams.

This was one of my favorite games this was from week 1.

This was the best comeback game for any team ever the top 2 teams fighting each other.

Have C9 and Vulcan only emerged this season? I hadn't heard of them during S2 and before.

North America's road to winning world

C9 made it in LCS Summer Split, only losing like 3-4 games while beating every single team, they usually ended the games at 25mins. On their interviews after games, they said they pick a team that is really good in mid game and win at 25mins.

C9 is a very good team for being new and I'm thinking they will have a good chance at worlds. :)

C9 came in LCS this season Vulcan came in 5th last split but started to shine a bit near the end Zuna is probably the best ADC mechanically in NA (Better then Dlift)

He was best Jungler NA in all 3 seasons until summer. Even the games he loses he still does great (as seen in Allstars)

Regi hasn't really fallen off if you look and see how other teams play they know if they take down Regi TSM falls its not like S2 where if Regi did bad Dyrus and Chaox could 2v5 its more team style now taking the Mid or Top out of the game really gets the win and the easy target is Regi he doesn't like many of the new OP champs and people typically spend 1-2 bans on his favorite picks and pick counters to the rest of his pool. He has still been performing decent its just now there are so many new players that can adapt to the play whats OP not what you like meta.

Regi lead Chick Dig Elo to 2011 Cyber game champs and did amazing with TSM in S1-S2

This game was absolutely amazing. C9 may just be able to contend the Korean and Chinese teams.

CLG is the worst and most inconsistent team in NA they cannot handle any teams who play different styles and they only do good vs TSM of all the top teams and this is because of how much they piss off Regi the shot caller.

If your entire idea of strategy is pissing off Regi then you are not good at the game. Link and Nien are great players mechanically but make terrible decisions the only great player they have is their support.

DLift gets caught every god damn game and I can not even think of the last time I have seen him not get out played vs like WT, Sneaky or Zuna.

Meh. Only time will tell as to how good C9 is on an international scale. After all, there really haven't been any international tournaments outside of Allstars, which in itself wasn't really an accurate way of telling which region is the best

I just hope that Cloud 9 and TSM get into worlds. I really don't care about the other top teams. But I also like Curse and DIG.

North America's road to winning world

I would say TSM and C9 have the best chance at winning worlds. Vulcan is better at current meta in NA but TSM has shown they can win worlds in 2 they dominated until they got cheated in semi finals.

TSM Dominates everyone in America until this current split.
Vulcan shines out in NA but many major teams had roster changes they have to deal with

My order of what I think are strongest teams in NA

    C9
    TSM
Vulcan / Curse (Tied here IMO)
    Dig / CLG (Tied)
    Coast
    Pile of poop
    Velocity

TSM and C9 are not even on the same tier as CLG and Dig look at their records overall they are just unstoppable. TSM showed us in Spring split when they threw turtle in with 12-2 record in the last 14 games to secure first. They always come out clutch if you notice TSM had so many games they didn't play to win they picked new champs trying to do new strats. TSM raped Vulcan twice and troll picked twice.
