Pardon Request

Hey all.

I'm here to request a pardon for my actions which led to my permanent ban over a year ago now. I will explain what exactly happened and why I believe I should get a second chance. I won't be trying to make excuses for my actions, I'd just like to explain everything that happened.

So what happened?

So let's start with what exactly happened. So as most of you know there was a duplication glitch on runescape which was abused by some people including me last year in August.

After Jagex found out and posted on their site they were going to trace and ban/wipe the glitchers involved, I started selling my gold on Sythe and other places. Please keep in mind that Jagex specifically stated they are only going after the glitchers themselves and their secondary accounts. (Ref link)

So what did I do wrong?

I started selling the gold here on Sythe and some other places after the news was out. Some people (inc. staff I believe) had asked me if it was duplicated gold from a specific glitch, to which I answered no because we used a different one.

Now that was my first mistake, because even though that wasn't technically lying it wasn't exactly forthcoming. I realise now that the least I could've done is notify all my buyers about a potential risk before a trade. I did tell people where the gold originated from when they asked me (Punjabi asked me for example) but I did not give a warning out to all my buyers by myself and this is the thing that I regret now.

Did anything else happen?

I was punished for my auctions with a temporary TwC and a temporary ban from the selling section of the market. Luckily no one had been negatively effected by trading with me (I asked pretty much all my buyers), no one got wiped/banned or anything like that.

Now here comes the part of which most people don't know, but I'm sure the staff can check out that this actually happened.

As I just said, I was punished for these actions. But then I saw Karl (global moderator at the time) posting in a thread where people were asking why I had a TwC, and he said I had scammed people or something like that. So ofcourse this wasn't true, so I pmed him and basically called him a liar and said he shouldn't be posting stuff that wasn't true (I don't know the exact words). Ofcourse this wasn't too smart to pm to a moderator, I realise that but he was posting lies about me. Shortly after that I received a pm back from him and he said 'Bye' and he permanently banned me.

All in all, I sold duplicated gold without a warning to my buyers which was a bad call on my behalf. I hope I can get a second chance, because this was the only bad call I have ever made in over 8 years being on sythe.

I appreciate you taking the time to write out a pardon, but I seem to recall you repeatedly lying to the staff about the gold's origins and how it was obtained.

Ofcourse I agree with you that at that point when I was asked about it by a staff member I should've said where it orignated from instead of simply saying it wasn't from that glitch. I know you guys were only trying to maintain a safe trading environment for the buyers.

I'd just like to inform the mods/admins/whatever, that since Just un Dude has been banned, he has been constantly scamming, harassing, etc. people within the 'game collecting community', and has repeatably hacked(?) people on the community www.sealedgameheaven.com, and has mass-spammed the forums aswell. The last part of that has happened so much, the forum has had to be admin-approval'd. His saying "because this was the only bad call I have ever made in over 8 years being on sythe." is just a blatant lie, and should not be taken seriously.

If proof is needed of any hacking/scamming/immature behavior, it can be arranged.

This is probably the one time a unban+TWC makes sense but since we don't do that anymore I still have to think about it.

I wouldn't take it too serious, after all that is Josh the owner of bugabuse.net
We are both a member of a gaming collection forum and his collection is rather small, so most people just mock him for the fun of it.

I guess he's trying to get revenge now or something, ofcourse I haven't hacked anything or whatever he's trying to claim. I haven't scammed anything either otherwise I would've been banned from the forum ofcourse.

There's just this little joke where an administrator on the website has a name with an l and I made the same account with a capital I and so some people thought I 'hacked' the forum but it was obviously just a joke, that forum is not to be taken serious it's mostly trolls like Josh is.

If there's someone I can add to skype it would be alot easier for these replies because it's hard to explain it perfectly and type it all out at once.

 

I'll clarify, this is why I don't support (plus I remember this going a bit differently with you causing a bit of a ruckus with your situation).

Knowing full well not only did you knowingly sell duped gold to your customers, but you proceeded to continuously lie to staff at that time about the situation. I can't support this.

If this forum is going to allow scammers back but not someone with a clean record who made a mistake that didn't hurt anyone I don't wish to be a part of this forum.
