Peacekeepers are allowed to carry firearms actually, and they can shoot if they need to in certain situations. But, really what's the cost of this all at? Peacekeeping is an extremely dangerous job. And, due to the fact they can't shoot unless provoked it makes them easier targets.

Well they may carry guns, but don't they sound like liabilities to you? You're putting armed foreigners in a hostile country full of gun happy rebels. Peacekeeping IS an extremely dangerous and useless job.

Yeah, I didn't disagree was just putting that out there. Peacekeeping isn't the solution needed for the Syrians. But, it has been useful before, for example if you know the history behind the Bosnia and Herzegovina situation. So I wouldn't go as far as saying it's useless, but it's not what Syria needs.

Damn guys, shit's about to hit the fan. I hope America doesn't attack Syria, and just tries to negotiate. I read somewhere quite recently that Syria has about 8000 fighter jets ready to launch, and that all 8000 pilots are willing to kamikaze.

    Source: http://www.theguardian.com/world/2013/aug/28/syrian-army-kamikaze-against-west-assad

A few countries have already said "no" to America's question if we'd like to help them. Germany, Brittain, and probably Holland aswell. Politicians in Holland are discussing this matter at the moment. However, France agree'd to help..

What do you guys think'll happen?

First of all, the USA doesn't need help from anyone.
Even if other countrys disagree with the USA attacking syria, they probably still will attack when they least excpect it.

This is how the USA plays the game, they attack unexpectedly.

And i'm pretty sure they are lying about those 8000 suicide people.

Its not that simple man if the USA acts without allies it become a matter of dignity and friendships. This could possible interrupt future help from England if a US war was to break out its a thought process not something that should just be lingered with off the top of ones head.

This is what people will do to each other for money and power, I guess it'll have to take everyone losing everything we need to survive for people to understand material possessions will never be able to match up to pure humanity
