[Update please!] Give us mobile!

Being on staff means little in your ability to get anything non-trivial done.

I think this is a must. I don't have a smart phone but a lot of people do and even just a better mobile theme and redirection to m.sythe.org when you're on a mobile phone would be great.

 

I told you I already brought it up on several occasions. It's people like you that put me off wanting to try and make a change here, you just bitch about everything. Simmer down, child.

As for the suggestion itself, obviously it's a good idea. That's why I suggested it a long ass time ago, and it just got denied a week ago by Dave.

No, I'd say the reason you don't try to change things is because you were inactive and didn't do anything as it was. You were "community manager" and headed CDT AFAIK. I had CDT access when I was doing the beta for the Sythe RS server, and it was inactive, as were you from the time I was staff until a week ago when you stopped being admin for whatever reason.

I don't bitch about changes that get done, I bitch about the lack of changes. We're on the same side here, I'm just questioning why you're just doing this now.

 

Slightly. It's more about your personal influence than being on staff, although members of staff gain much more influence that carries over when they leave than a normal user. Anyways. Off topic. My bad.

OT I personally navigate the site perfectly fine using my iPhone. But hell if there is an easier way, I don't see why not.

Personally I don't actually like TapaTalk. I suppose if there was the option to use either the normal site via mobile or TapaTalk it would be okay >.>

 

This is what I'm suggesting. TapaTalk access for those who want it, and a more optimised mobile skin than the current pile of ass for those that don't like tapatalk.

 

I would conditionally support this (like my opinion matters lol) if we retain the option to use the current site. I hate sites where it forces you to use their mobile option, regardless of whether you like it or not.

I have to agree with this. I was guilty of doing the same on BA. Deny, deny, deny, eh I want it now I'll just get it pushed in. Not gonna further my argument though =p.

 

Well, taking no for an answer got me demoted. So this time I'm not going to take no for an answer. There is no plausible reason not to at least install the tapatalk plugin. I can see why the skin would have its problems, but I'm sick of hearing excuses.

 

I agree the mobile portion of the site sucks need to be updated its 2013 man lets get it done.

Would like to also see a feature for mobiles where you can opt to not have the PM box pop up as soon as you load a page and get a new PM, that's the only real problem I have with the current system.

 

The above theme would be amazing. The current mobile theme is complete shit and NextgenLite isn't bad but i prefer not enlarging the screen every time i want to read a thread/post.

 

I use my iPhone to post a lot and use the desktop version when doing so. I've never actually tried the mobile version.

Meanwhile, powerbot has a mobile version i find totally unusable. I'd hate sythe to switch to something like that.
