So, a few months ago I had a customer come into my work, and he spoke to me about how lonely he was, he's about 65 years old.

He recently went overseas, to the philipines, and he came into work today and he was discussing with another colleague of mine about his endeavours on his trip overseas, he successfully got himself a bride. He chose his new wife out of a catalogue, in which he was engaged to her over the span of 3 weeks. He was telling us how he's bought her all these new things, ranging from jewellery to clothing. She has already got her passport organised and is planning on coming to Australia, I felt so sorry for the guy, because he genuinely believes that this lady actually loves him. I felt sorry for him, but anyway, what are your thoughts on this cause?

So true, but I just don't understand why these old guys believe they are actually in love with them?

 

Some eventually actually start to love them, but the majority don't. The only thing that the people who buy them think about is that they will be loyal, as in their culture when they're bought they're owned, full stop. They do what they're told.

 

Some people just value the company, and that's good enough for them.

 

If she's not forced into the position (she chooses to offer her service), i don't find it nearly as bad as if she didn't (human trafficking). It is her job and choice to provide company for individuals such as this man.

No one deserves to be alone for the rest of their life and if he believes he no longer is and that it is genuine, congratulations to him.

 

If he wants to spend his money on a woman then just leave him to it... If it makes him happy, it's worth it.

 

If it makes the guy happy, and doesn't affect you, then it's not a problem surely

 

He may just want someone to listen to him, talk to him and be there for when he needs her the most, I see it a bit and the wife tends to be the dominant one when it comes to most things as the man tends to be less of a confident person, but it's up to him and I'm glad he's found someone.

 

Well the guy is happy with his life who are we to judge him?

 

I can't really understand your pity, the guy was down because of loneliness, now he's raging with happiness because of his "endeavor", I applaud the guy.

If the woman consents to it of course, if not then I hope he can provide her a decent life from now on.

 

Expensive escort... that's a great way to look at it. He's just tricking himself into not being so lonely. If he was a younger guy, say in his 20's, I'd say you should tell him to look for a real wife. Someone who actually wants to spend time with him. But, being 65 you can't do much socially anymore. May as well buy your company if you can afford it.

 

That is what they want, and when you want something hard enough you'll think it is that way. I've seen it myself with somebody in my family. He is with a philippine and has been for years, she costs him loads of money and rips him off. He still thinks she's good for him and that he has a genuinely loving girlfriend.

The thing is, which I obviously noticed is that those girls underpress their own feelings and thoughts. They agree with everything the man says and stimulates him by giving him the right answers. On the more physical basis they often give the man a lot of sex, they do all the home jobs (cooking, dishes, ..) and pamper them with all they want.

The sad conclusion: They do anything for the man as long as they get money in.

 

She wants the D, The dollar.. ofcourse!

 

If it makes him happy then it's alright, but it'd be much better in the long run to find an actual wife, I'd imagine she'll leave him after he retires, if she hadn't already.
