ebay paypal

I owe ebay $100 in seller fees from awhile ago. So I went to pay but I only had $36 in my paypal balance. I clicked pay with paypal but then was prompted to enter debit/credit card. I entered in debit card then went to accept agreement but saw part of it said they will be able to take money out of my debit card without permission if I owe them money. I don’t have any money in that account and didn’t want to get an overdraft fee so I declined.

So can I go to store and buy $50 american express and link that to my paypal? Not sure if they would accept that cause it sounded like they wanted a debit/credit card. Figured i would ask first because I will be mad if it doesn't work

 

You can remove your debit/credit card at any time so once you're done don't worry about them taking money out, that's an option.

You can pay through PayPal using a visa credit-gift card but can not add it to your account (to my knowledge) because it has to associate your card with your address.

If I were you, I'd go ahead and put money in your actual checking account, link your debit to pay the fees, then remove it afterwards. It's a quick and relatively painless process.

 

make a new ebay account i guess?
